Nice but....
This hotel would have been nice but they were remodeling and the main entrance was completely shut off. WE had to drive around to the back of the hotel and the check in was in a room. It seemed they tried, but it wasn’t at all what I expected from Mariott. The location was great and the room was satisfactory, and the fact there was a balcony was a bonus. However, the construction issue was a major one. We got back to the hotel after visiting the Grand Ole Opry at twelve or one in the morning, and had to park all the way in the back near the "main entrance" with no lights. There were not even any perks offered - we paid full price! Ridiculous! It would be different if we had known they were renovating and given the chance to stay somewhere else. Maybe once it gets done, it will be great, but until then, no way!!!
Opry Mills is a must for shopping!

Good Job
I took my Girl Scouts here... they set up a shuttle to Grand Ole Opry just for us and free of charge. Staff was friendly. My only complaint was that they started knocking to doors to clean rooms at 9:00 a.m... but I guess we should have used those do not disturb signs.

Nice place to stay
We had a great experience. The room was comfortable; the indoor swimming pool was enjoyable; the breakfast was excellent! We will stay here again.
Traveler's tip on dining
The hotel has two different prices: one includes breakfast, the other doesn’t. For us, the breakfast was well worth the price.
