All Purpose Hotel

The K&K Maria Theresia is a hotel that fits everyone’s basic needs - great location, good service, good breakfast, nice rooms. The hotel is good for business folks and tourists who are not looking for a "niche" hotel. For us, as tourists, the location, cleanliness, service, and great breakfast kept us going.

Quite a pleasent stay

I would definetly advice this hotel to travelers who are seeking for a modest option, located in the heard of Vienna. K&K offered good quality service with nicely furnished rooms and welcoming staff. Some of the room, however, have a terrible view, basically facing an opposite wall. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel, especially considering the price we paid.

Museum District

This very pleasant hotel is in back of and extremely convenient to th Museum Quartier. While it is a 15 or so minute walk to the heart of the tourist area, the area itself provides a charm of its own and is not as touristy. There are plenty of pleasant restaurants, cafes, shops and stores.

Maria Theresia - Comfortable, stylish, centrally located, and friendly

Highly recommended! My brother and I spent the weekend in Vienna a couple weeks ago and used the Maria Theresia as our home base. The rooms were very comfortable, the staff was professional and friendly, the breakfasts awesome. It’s located on a quiet street very close to an U-bahn station, and within easy walking distance of the Naschmarkt (a fantastic outdoor market - great for exploring and people watching), Mariahilfestrasse, the city center, etc. etc. I’d happily return. One caveat for those whose existence relies on an internet connection: if your laptop doesn’t have strong wifi, ask for a room on one of the lower floors for a stronger signal. Otherwise, they’ve got a nice room with several computers for free online access & printing in the lobby, and a solid wifi signal in the lobby lounge.

If not a vegetarian, do yourself a favor and try a Kasekrainer (pr. Kayzeh-kraynehr) from one of the Wurst stands in the city center, along the Ringstrasse, and by the train stations. It is, essentially, a hollowed-out baguette into which a large, spicy, molten cheese-spiked sausage is stuffed. Add ketchup (ketchup) and mustard (senf) and you’ve got a cheap, happy, fully portable, evilly delicious meal to wander around with.

Very Nice Vienna Hotel

We were staying over just one night to attend the opera and were most impressed with the hotel we selected as it was quite near the opera house and was in immaculate condition.

Excellent location. Very modern internal design. Rooms are well maintained. The neighborhood sometimes noisy. Do not recommend to open windows in the evening, nasty odor coming from the street level.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It exceed my expectations in size, and everything else. The breakfast was great, the staff very supportive, the rooms clean and modern. Everything seemed new. It’s a ten minute walk to most attractions however it’s worth it since at night it’s very nice and quite (contrary to most hotels in European cities where traffic is always present).

Hotel was comfortable, quiet, and well located. The breakfast was good and in-room high speed internet was very helpful for the business portion of my travel.

Good hotel, good location

Having traveled around some less expensive hotels in Poland and The Czech Republic, this was a very nice experience to end the trip with. It was a bit expensive with the dollar as it is, but it was clean, efficient and quiet. The breakfast buffet was good and the lobby/bar area bright and open. Also, the position was very good, only being a short walk to the u-bahn. Over all, highly recommended.

Outstanding service

The people at the front desk were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The decor is tasteful, and the beds very comfortable. The room we had (on the 6th floor) was quiet; you can’t tell you’re in the middle of a big city.

The hotel itself has great food at the bar. If you want to go out, but not too far, try the LUX Restaurant only 1 block away. Located in a charmingly quiet pedestrian area. Has indoor and outdoor dining and excellent food and service.

Fit for an Empress

Maria Theresia would be pleased. The hotel is located on a lovely cobblestone street near the Museum Quartier and is very close to the subway station. In fact, it was easy to reach all of Vienna’s Top 10 from this location. The hotel staff was very accomodating and assisted us with booking a tour to a Heurigan (after the trip that I had booked from home fell through). The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. We regretted that we had bothered with our laptop because there are enough computers available in the lobby and we seldom had to wait to check our email. The breakfast buffet and staff were absolutely the best that we have ever experienced. I will certainly return to the KK Hotel Maria Theresia and to this chain when in Europe again.

Check dates of Vienna’s Top 10 sites. The dates of our trip were selected because of the conference that I was attending. We were disappointed that the Vienna Boys Choir was on holiday as well as the Lipizzaner Stallionas. We did tour the Spanish Riding school and we were able to see the uttermohlens and fohlens (mares and foals).

Viennese Elegance

A gorgeous, elegant Vienese gem, this charming hotel offers A/C ( a rarity in this city), plus an awesome, complimentary Champagne buffet breakfast. We were the only Americans there, which made for a charming, worldly experience. The staff were professional and helpful. I would stay there again...anytime! (Also, it’s adjacent to the best city shopping, on Mariahilferstrasse.)

Happy we stayed here.

This is a great hotel in a great location. It’s close to the U-Bahn (less than 5 minutes away) and just a short walk to the city center. In the other direction there are wonderful small family run restaurants. Our room was spotless and a nice size. We were glad to have the air conditioning since it was in the high 80’s when we were there.The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen in any hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and we will be staying there again.

This hotel is walking distance to almost all the major attractions. The other attractions are easy to get to by public transportation which is less than 5 minutes from the hotel.

Great place to stay, excellent value!

Was very pleased with this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was fantastic and not to be missed -- be sure to eat your fill each morning! In-room Internet worked flawlessly and was quick enough. The location was good and the room I had was completely silent at night. I would definitely stay here again, excellent value for the money.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and breakfast buffet was great. At the end of the day we enjoyed a cocktail downstairs at the bar. The location was easy walking distance to top attractions. The only thing we didn’t like was the lack of air condtioning control. Our visit was end of March and they still have heat running.

Excellent In Every Respect

Fantastic hotel in a great location with excellent service. The only fault I found was that I could not get reception to contact my choice for shuttle transportation back to the airport. The reception desk stated that she could call only a specific taxi company. So, instead of calling the shuttle I had used to get to the hotel (it cost me 10 Euro) and paying 15 Euro for the return trip, I used the hotel’s "choice" and paid 35 Euro. Obviously not a good decision. If you prefer not to take public transportation back to the airport or don’t mind paying the higher price for using the hotel’s "choice" of taxi service, the receiption desk will be happy to help you out.

Be sure to see the imperial apartments at the Hofburg Palace. For 8.90 Euro, you will have entrance to the Silver collection, Sisi museum as well as an audio guide phone (included in the 8.90 Euro).

Not Impressed

The room that we were in was right along the staircase, which was concrete so it was noisy with the sound of other guests, doors, etc. In addition, there was construction happening at the hotel that started early in the morning and was very noisy. The positive is that the hotel is in a convenient location and provided complimentary Internet access. But overall I was disappointed with the quality and would not stay again.

Great Location + Pleasant Environment

This well-priced hotel has modern amenities and a superb location for tourists and business travelers. Minutes walk to the Museum Quartier, the Hofberg complex, and the Ringstrasse/Inner City. Wonderful buffet breakfast, helpful staff, and great bathrooms. Located on a charming quiet side street, but located near the hustle and bustle as well as public transportation.

Take the time and the subway to visit the Wittgenstein Haus. The neighborhood boasts a lively market. Note that you need to pay the Bulgarian Embassy a small fee for an unguided tour of this impressive architectural gem that also connects with the city’s intellectual history. Also do not miss a visit to MAK, one of the finest museums of applied arts in Europe.

Nice hotel in a quaint area, very close to the Museum Quarter

The hotel is in a great area for shopping & sight seeing. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was more than expected. The hotel staff were very nice. Also, the U-Bahn station is a 5 minute walk away.
