Location is good... and nothing else
Hotel Alzer is located right on the Hippodrome. I would say that this is the only thing which is good about this hotel.

Home away from home
We just returned from 3 weeks in Turkey and stayed at 4 different hotels in the course of our travels. This hotel, Alzer, was clearly one of my favorites. The staff are so very friendly and make you feel at home, as if you are staying at the home of a very dear friend or a close relative. The view during breakfast is outstanding. The location of the hotel is close to the things to see and at night it is quite and calming, perfect for families with small children. We were able to easily walk to all of the sites that we wanted to see. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit.

Great location but not 4 star
The hotel is well located and has a nice breakfast from a wonderful rooftop terrace. However the hotel is not 4 star. Our room didn’t have hot water on one of the days, the room was small and I had to request the airconditioning control. Also, when we ordered taxi service and tour services, neither of the drivers/tour operators showed up at the scheduled time and we had to cancel these services.
