Charming, elegant old hotel with great service
We loved this historical old hotel in Lund in the center of town, across from the train station. The staff, rooms, and continental breakfast were wonderful!

Very nice location
Nice environment, everything worked fine, very good breakfast. Lack of air conditioning was the only comfort reducing thing: the room on the highest floor was really swetting after a hot day.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Very nice place for walking around: dome and the old university area are very beautiful.

Not cheap, but a great place to stay
The Grand Hotel comes certainly on the more expensive side, but given what over hotels in Lund offer, it is a good choice. Many hotels are advertised as "centrally located," but this one is virtually only 100 m from the railway station, and less than five minutes from other sights in the city. Laid back by a small park, the rooms are quiet nonetheless. The hotel itself is a castle-like building from the turn of the last century, displaying all the grandeur of travel 100 years ago. The staircase is magnificent and itself worth a visit. Rooms are modern and clean, with comfortable furniture; those on lower floors even retain a touch of the old decoration, without making the place in any way appear antiquated. Breakfast buffet is great and very rich. Staff is helpful and even agreed us to change rooms (free of charge) when a wedding party in the ball room threatened our night’s sleep - thank you! Only drawback was internet access (wireless) that came quite expensive and sometimes unstable. Nontheless a place to return to.
