Great location!!
Hotel was very close to the Plaza Catalunya, La Rambla, El Corte Ingles department store, the Gothic Quarter and the Hard Rock Cafe. There is also an information booth at Plaza Catalunya if you need help finding anything. The hotel room was small but comfortable. We were upgraded to a deluxe room when the superior room was unavailable. Breakfast is not included, and will cost you 15 Euros a day per person. It was a great breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, grilled tomatoes, Serrano ham, cheese, yogurt) so you may want to go ahead and pay the 15 Euros for it.
The hop-on/hop-off bus stop was at Plaza Catalunya, and was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We would recommend this bus for two days (the first day to get a feel for the city, and the second day to use as transportation). We took the bus on the second day to go to MNA (art museum) and Sagrada Familia.

Adequate
Not a bad location and clean enough, but room was not comfortable enough to do anything but sleep. We did have a corner room with two windows, non-smoking, but a very ordinary-looking, expensive buffet breakfast - couldn’t even get a cup of coffee. There are a couple of Starbucks within two blocks.

Conveniently located
The hotel is located conveniently near to the centre of all activities in the city and within a walking distance to any kind of transportation in the city. .Hotel staff do not bother you and they are very polite and responsive.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The national theatre, opera, walking street is near by as well. The mideteranean is 15 minutes walk away.
