Great Location but some comfort problems

City hotel with great location, good price, clean but not exactly luxurious rooms. I think the images were very flattering. On the other hand did I mention the awesome location?

great location, nice hotel

The breakfast was excellent, including eggs, sausage, yogurts, all types of bread, the usual meats and cheese and some fruit. The staff was very helpful and the location was right on the pedestrian street, town center. There was scaffolding on the outside of the hotel (which we were not aware of), but i did not hear any construction noise. My only complaint is the bathroom is noisy when any water is running. The price was good for the location and we would stay here again

very family friendly.......many kids there...most of them were from Scandinavia countries.

It is smart hotel. Compact but satisfies your needs fully. Staff is also very keen to your needs and smart. Efficient hotel. I recommend to you!

Next door PUB shopping center is great. It caters to your peculiar fashion sense. It is very delicate and high quality.

The hotel is in a great area. Lots of places to shop and eat. The breakfast was good with lots of variety.

Excellent centrally located hotel

I stayed in the Rica Kungsgatan for four days in spring 2008. The hotel was excellent, with good service, clean comfortable room and an extremely good breakfast buffet. The location is ideal for business or tourism. It does not have a lot of ambiance, though. I would characterize the feeling of the place as efficient and comfortable rather than "warm" or "cozy". So although I would not pick this hotel for a honeymoon, in all other respects I highly recommend it.

Nice clean rooms, though windowless. The breakfast was very good. Very good internet connection. Friendly staff. Overall good value.

Pros: Good location - 10 minutes from central train/bus station; about 15 minutes from Gamla Stan; in heart of shopping district. Free internet access. Good breakfast. Cons: Noisy plumbing. Tour groups took over the breakfast room

Good value, great location

We stayed in one of the rooms without a window, and it was a great value for the location, which was great. And since we were there in July, the lack of a window enabled us to sleep better as the sun did not wake us at 3am as it did others we met. Also, we stayed on a weekend, and we did not hear any noise from the street below. However, if you plan to spend a great deal of time in the room, it would not be the best. The breakfast was amazing, and the internet was free. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. The hotel is right off of one of the main pedestrian streets that leads right into Gamla Stan, which is the charming old town every tourist needs to visit. Overall, a good experience.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Plan to spend at least 3 days in Stockholm. It is an amazing city with a great deal of things to see. I recommend a walking tour of Gamla Stan, the Vasa museum, Skansen open air museum, a boat city tour, and a visit to the palace. I also recommend a visit to surrounding towns Upsala and Sigtuna.

Very Nice Room and Great Breakfast Buffet

I had a small room that was well-designed and very comfortable. Free wireless and a fantastic breakast buffet included. The location of the hotel is smack-dab in the city center. If I had a small criticism, it is the location -- I might have liked to stay a bit closer to the water, but to do so I likely would not have had the reasonable rate or comfortable experience.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Buy the Stockholm Card at the airport on arrival from the Info booth in the arrivals lobby. I bought my Arlanda Express and 3 day Stockholm card right at the start of my trip. The Stockholm card is a terrific deal. Use it for the two boat tours included and to enter all the museums you’d like, especially the Royal Palaces.

Perfect Location for Price

This was our first trip to Stockholm, and this hotel was a steal! The price on Expedia was really cheap compared to the hotel’s website. The breakfast was huge and delicious, and the location was wonderful, which was most important to us.

Nice and clean. Very good breakfast included. Good location. Several rooms on each floor do not have windows, this is the only downside.

About 5 minutes walk to the nearest Metro (T) station. Hotel has a special price for a taxi to Arlanda

A good choice

Room was small by US standards; but clean, quiet, and quite affordable. Breakfast buffet was very nice, and the staff was very hospitable. Good location near shopping and Central Station. I would definitely recommend to those traveling alone and on a budget.

Buy the one to three day subway pass for transportation. It’s the most affordable way to get around -- other than walking, which is also great and easy in this beautiful city.

Great Location

The hotel staff was friendly. We had to wait in line for breakfast for about 15 minutes two out of three mornings. The bedding wasn’t clean, but the room itself was fine. The location was central to everything and was next to a movie theater.

Reasonable

The rooms were clean though the showers were not that nice. The bed was very comfortable though instead of 1 queen bed, it was 2 twin beds pushed together. The front desk was very polite and helpful.
