Not Impressed
We stayed at this hotel before, but the Grapevine Mills Mall was packed at that time and really great shops. This time, it took FOREVER to get to the hotel and the Hilton DFW just wasnt as nice as it was several years back. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke (even though it is a nonsmoking hotel). They need to update for this to be a 4 star hotel. Seems to me like the economy has hit that part of Grapevine, since the mall was not that great. Next time we will stay in Frisco or Dalls.

Very nice hotel, very attentive staff.
I had booked a room with access to the Executive Lounge (for $20 more a night). When I checked in I was informed the lounge was closed for the weekend. To compensate us for missing out on the free food and drinks usually available in the Executive Lounge, they provided us with coupons for a free breakfast buffet ($24 value per coupon) for me and my roommate for each day of my stay. They also gave us a free case of water bottles to keep in our room. They were very willing to work with us to fix the problem! The restaurants on site are expensive but very nice ($24 breakfast buffet, $14 hamburger in the bar). But there are less expensive restaurants across the street. Overall, this is a very nice hotel.
