Not bad but not great
We stayed in the Euro room which was TINY! It was a nice room but for the price, way too small. The bed was great tho! SOO comfortable and the shower was fabulous! The free breakfast was wonderful too. The only other negative about the room is that we stayed on a Saturday night and the noise from the people on the streets was very loud until the early morning hours!
We ate dinner at Pastabilities which I was hesitant about because of the name which to me sounds like a chain restaurant and not very original. However, the place was very chic, the food was excellent and the service was good too!

Pleasant surprise
Stayed here for several days when dropping off my daughter at the university. Staff was extremely accommodating on a busy weekend. The executive suite room was large, nicely decorated with a fireplace and large flat screens in both the bedroom and sitting room, with a gigantic bathroom. The only improvement could be the toiletries provided - only the standard 3 mini bottles and nothing else. Much prefer this hotel over both the Sheraton and Gennesse Grand for quality and staff.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Several truly nice restaurants within a block. "Connective Corridor" stop is right across the street for those visiting Syracuse Univ.

Best place to stay at Armory Square
Due to location and a free GOOD breakfast, this is the BEST place to stay if going to the Syracuse area. There are numerous multi-faceted bars (Blue Tusk, Clarkes Ale House, Empire Brewing) and places of entertainment (Clinton Square, Landmark Theatre, Syracuse Convention Center, War Memorial, etc.) that are within stumbling distance of the hotel. At times the prices are a bit high, but we got a great deal on the weekend of the Syracuse Blues & Brews fest. My only hardship with the place: Only one elevator serving 12 floors, and the service people sharing it with the guests. zGetting up and down took a while at times.
