Qualified passing grade
The hotel rooms we stayed in were fine. But: Location: -There sure was a lot of fire and/or police activity during the night in the vicinity of the hotel. Maybe cause it is near a major traffic intersection and entry into that a busy section of the city. It was annoying after a while. - It did not seem to be too far from the center of the city but there was little to no info about the city businesses or alternatives to the shuttle. -The hotel-provided shuttle generally worked. A couple times we waited over 30 minutes; once we waited 1 hour to be picked up. Drivers were friendly but shorthanded: seemed like one driver per shift. -Victorias restaurant was about 6 blocked away. Staff at the desk could not agree if it was 2 or 4 blocks away. Never made it there - stopped at a diner we ran into before Victorias. It was fine for a change. It is conveniently located by the medical center district if that is your primary purpose for staying here. Breakfast: - The daily hardboiled eggs were interesting. The fruit could have been freshened up more often. It did the job if you wanted to just get started and go out and about. If I visit Boston again, I believe staying closer to the city will be better. City buses, trains, cabs are plentiful and routes are easy to understand once in the city. There is no pool and no place to sit outside to enjoy a nice day. This would have probably made the stay nicer.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Purchased the GoBoston card. Never had to pay for activities, tours, etc. we went on except for the Red Sox game. It is a bargain. Find it online.

Great deal near downtown Boston
We loved our stay at the Best Western Roundhouse Suites in Boston. We had a two-room King suite. The bedroom was nice-sized. The living room area was not real large, smaller than most suites Ive stayed in, but comfortable and very clean and nice. The rooms were very charming- and plenty of space for the two of us. If traveling with more than 2 or 3 you might want more space than this. The room also had nice microwave and refridgerator units. We were excited to find a hotel that featured free continental breakfast, free wireless internet, and free parking on site, as well as a free shuttle to many locations including the nearest subway station. We felt it was very reasonably priced- especially for all of these amenities. The location is fine- close to all major city transportation and a short subway ride to downtown and the historic sites. The shuttle driver was friendly and quick and available. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others as a great option.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Take a Duck Tour in Boston- a great way to see lots of the city and get some great info on the various neighborhoods. They leave from the Prudential Center and the Museum of Science. Very fun- you ride around the city in an amphibious vehicle and part of the tour you go into the Charles River and see the city from there. Very cool.
