Good hotel if you have a plane to catch early in the morning at Newark airport otherwise, it is not exactly a friendly neighborhood.

Many things that i liked, very nice bathtub, microwave, refrigerator. Clean, nice bar and restaurant at the lobby. Excellent shuttle service. I recomend it!

Great Place Outside the City

Very kind and very helpful getting to and from the city. Shuttle service is convenient but a little costly if you take a lot of trips. Overall breakfast was great and the service was always willing to help. I have stayed many times in the city and I would stay again. A nice getaway from the busy Thanksgiving weekend.

Sleep and Fly

Mainly booked this hotel for the sleep and fly rate. They allow 10 days parking near Newark for a decent rate. The hotel was acceptable, as well as the shuttle service to the airport. The breakfast was basically a couple of stale donuts. Getting back was aggravating. I had to call 3 times and waited an hour and 15 minutes for the shuttle to pick me up.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

I saw the Marriott and Hilton shuttle bus 4 to 5 times during my wait. Stay there. It’s worth the extra bit if you’re intending to sleep and fly.

the worst

The lobby was filthy. the rooms were worse. we arrived late and starving. waited 40 minutes in the coffee shop and never saw a waiter, so we left without ordering. we used this hotel for the parking and airport shuttle. would have been better off sleeping in our car!

Nice hotel, but the shuttle service to the train no so much.

The hotel was ok for a quick stay, but we went to NY city by train and they said to call when we come back at Newark Penn Station. So we call and we waited for like 50 minutes for the shuttle. And they charge us for that service, if we would’ve known, We would have taken a taxi or at least, they should have said that it would take 50 minutes to pick us up.

a good value

We were just staying overnight for an early flight at the airport. We found the people to be friendly and quality of the room to be very good for our purposes. The shuttle to and from the airport was efficient and worry-free. We felt comfortable leaving our car there for the week.

Bes Western Newark

The hotel was actually great. Great people at the desk, decent food for breakfast. Once you learned how to get to it, access was actually very easy and in fact very convenient. The price was exceptional compared to others in the area.

This hotel is a great deal and a little bit of a secret as access around Newark can be difficult. It was actually easy, and a very significant cost savings.

Good Hotel in Newark

Careful with the location. Good hotel, good service. Has internet wireless connection for free(guests), and has good breakfast, also for free(guests). Has shuttles to the Newark Penn Station, so you can travel to NYC easily.

NYC. Apple store, Serendipity 3, New York Yankee Stadium ( old one, new one will be ready to end of this year ). Nintendo World, Statue of Liberty, and many more. Good trip.

Fine if you have your own car.

location is in middle of nowhere, no place in the immediate area to walk and get food or snacks (except the hotel restaurant that can get a little pricey... or a 12.50 per trip shuttle service) People at hotel were very nice and helpful, only rel issue was the fact you couldn’t walk anywhere.

Poor Customer Service

The hotel itself was decent and the breakfast was better than most hotels I’ve been in but the customer service was non existent. The staff was unhelpful, condescending, and inattentive. The shuttle service to the airport where the public transportation was, which was suppose to run every half hour, came every hour - IF you were lucky. We would call for service multiple times and told "we’re on our way" - THREE TIMES were told that and had to wait almost two hours. And it wasn’t an isolated incident, either since we used it a number of times. Also, they wouldn’t even answer the phone a number of times. By far the worst customer service I have ever had at a hotel.

Not a bad hotel on the cheapee

Not easy to find but not a bad stay and not a bad price. pillows were not very comfortable. next time i’ll ask for extras. parking was not too good but we lucked out. breakfast was very good. not much of a view, but inside hotel was surprisingly nice

The road leading to the hotel was full of pot holes. Although the hotel is supposed to be ’non-smoking’ the original room assigned stunk. After complaining, they assigned another room which was fine. The courtesy vans had not been washed in weeks.

Offers good value

This hotel gives you good value for your money. The rooms are good size. And they are like any other two star hotel near a major airport. In the room was an iron and ironing board, which came in handy. Service was friendly. The free continental breakfast offered a lot of choices. The only problem with this hotel is that it’s isolated. No restaurants are nearby. Just a few other hotels are within walking distance. So you’re pretty much stuck eating at the hotel restaurant, which serves mostly sandwiches.

Limited Shuttle Service

OK if you look for a cheap hotel before an early flight. However, the 24-hour shuttle service to the airport has limited capacity. We were told that the 4:30 am shuttle was full and had to take the one leaving at 4:00 am. Service was OK otherwise, they even had coffee and pastries at 4 in the morning.

Inside of Hotel Great, Outside, Not so Great

The location and outside of the hotel is not very good. The ’parking lot’ is one big pothole. Not near anything at all. So if you want to be in walking distance, do NOT stay here. Limited parking, very confusing to find the place. Inside, the hotel and rooms are very nice, modern, clean. They are still working on the amnemities, though, no vending machines in working order, or that I can find. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. There is a hotel shuttle service to Penn Station - Newark. Very easy and convenient for NY travel and sightseeing. Overall - I would recommend this hotel to those who do not need immediate walking distance to amnemities or those who want to stay close to Penn station with the convenience of their shuttle service (small price).

In the middle of a long, rigorous trip, this hotel was adequate (clean, in good repair, quiet, prompt shuttle) but the breakfast was great!

EXCELLENT FOR A PARK& FLY HOTEL

The hotel location is a bit scary, but the staff and and park and fly incentive was outstanding. They transported us to our plane in a timely manner. Supplied us with a buffet breakfast before our flight. Picked us up after our flight and shuttled us back to our car in a secure parking lot with security on the premises.

Will try to use again.

Not So Hot

The services of the hotel were great. The desk help, the transportation to and from the hotel were fast and safe. The parking was not so hot. We didn’t know where to go, where to park the car and how the whole extended stay was going to work until we had it explained a few different times. However, recovering the car was easy. Our room was very very large but the heating/cooling hardly worked - we roasted most of the night! There was a large pounding sound all night as well that we could not get fixed via the front desk. The hotel looked a bit run down, and had an overall not-so-clean look about it. The little bit of parking they did have was horrible, and full of potholes. Response of the staff was quick and and the transportation to and from the airport was actually really quick.

The Best Western Newark Airport is a nice hotel and good value for money. Its clean and easy access to the aiport.

Take the shutter to P4 and catch the Jersey Gardens shutter to the Jersey Garden Mall. Well worth the trip.

Not too bad for a short stay

The hotel itself was nice with a good continental breakfast. However, th street leading to the hotel was not easy to spot off the highway, and the driveway to the limited parking is very narrow (just enough room for one car).
