OK Place to Stay in Newark
There were definitely some pros and cons at this hotel. The rates were very reasonable, the rooms were large and clean, it was conveniently located, and the free breakfast was decent. However, the staff was less than cordial. We had a problem with our bathroom door - it would not close at all. Someone supposedly fixed it while we were out , but we still had to slam it in order to get it to close. The staff was not apologetic. Also, beware of the "free shuttle" service. Their website claims they have a free shuttle service to Penn Station, but once you arrive you will find that the free shuttle only operates during certain hours and only operates on the hour. If you need the shuttle during the off hours (basically most of the day), you pay an extra fee. Another problem with the shuttle is that there seems to be only one operating, and we waited at the airport for over 1/2 hour for it to come and get us (we probably could have walked there faster) because it was taking a group to the mall. I would recommend staying here for the price and proximity to NYC only.

a good night’s sleep
The hotel is close to the airport, reasonably priced, the staff is forthcoming, shuttle service is OK, but the carpets and bathroom are not as clean as expected.
