Cookies
Mmm... Delicious cookies. The hotel was great. Good location, comfortable rooms, quality service. And every time you walked past the front desk you could get a free warm, tasty chocolate chip cookie.

Downtown Pittsburgh
We had a couple issues with housekeeping. These were dealt with by customer service, and we were appropriately compensated. The location in Downtown Pittsburgh was fabulous for our plans.
Traveler's tip on dining
Market Square was under renovation, so the range of dining options was limited. We would recommend Station Square as offering a more varied range of dining choices.

Comfortable option in downtown Pittsburgh
The Doubletree has no particular character (especially compared to the historic William Penn just 1 block away), but its a comfortable and very convenient choice in downtown Pittsburgh. Walk easily to sports venues (PNC Park, Heinz Field, Mellon Arena), the cultural district, the Strip District, Station Square. The hotel is right across the street from Steel Plaza "T" (subway) stop, with service to downtown and South Hills. Hotel is near the Greyhound and Amtrak stations, and a quick cheap ride on the 28X "Airport Flyer" to the airport.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Consider leaving the car behind; walking and public transit are fine alternatives here. Tip: ask for an even-numbered room (mine was 1512), they have better views.
