Great Location
The location of this hotel is perfect for enjoying the Victoria Harbour and walking distance to shopping & restaurants. The hotel has added a coffee house in the lobby area, which I enjoyed. The room itself was about what I expected for the price point, not fancy, but met our needs & our budget. There was a problem with the shower, the plumbing was very noisy. The TV remote control only worked if you stood within a couple feet of the tv, but since we weren’t there for the TV that wasn’t really an issue. Following our stay I found a random charge to my credit card by the hotel, but after a phone call to the hotel the charge was reversed.

Victoria charm
Historical hotel with Victoria Charm. Right in the center of the tourist attractions and restaurants all within walking distance. Room small, but with basic comfort and charm.

Give yourself at least 3 days in this charming city to do the whale watching, etc.

Quite Satisfied
The bed was comfortable. Room was pretty, if small. Nice and quiet. Very easy walk to all of the highlights of downtown. Got a great deal on Expedia. I would have preferred to be on the water, but would not have found such a good price there.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with Rebar (just around the corner) as well as Lotus Pond and Green Cuisine very close by. For whale watching, I went with Eagle Wing. Excellent outing!!!! Orcas up close! Great captian. Don’t miss the museum. And when you are exhausted from all of the walking around, enjoy a great National Geographic IMAX movie at the museum. Friendly people everywhere!!
