Okay place to stay

Hotel was fine. The kids enjoyed the pool, but the bed was a little hard. Continental breakfast was pretty good.

Not Impressed

The hotel had some good and some bad reviews but when we got there our room was extremly hot it took about 3 hours to cool it down, the breakfast in the morning wasn’t something I was rushing to eat after seeing the first bagel in the case with a hair on it. The shower was clogged and had no water pressure in shower or sink. Another annoynace was only one ice machine located in the pool area which they lock at 11pm. If the hotel could fix these problems I wouldnt mind going back.

Terrible stay!

Check-in was great. Staff was accomodating and pleasant. The room was hot and never did cool down much despite the air conditioner’s best effort. However, the really bad part of this stay was the noise. Never slept for very long without being awakened.

It is very comfortable. Only my complaint is that the internet is not working well.Too slow.

Generally Gross

The hotel itself would have been passable, but the experience was poor. There were some very loud guests having a party until all hours and Management did not seem to be able to control it. The morning breakfast is just plain gross. And, it was made worse by some guest who was blaring his iPod with speakers at the pool before 8 AM. Perhaps this hotel just attracts a certain type..so if this does not sound bad to you...the it is not a bad place to stay. If this experience would not be ideal to you, find somewhere else!

Very Nice Hotel! Staff Was Wonderful!

Great and friendly staff, but a little short handed most of the time when checking in or out. Rooms on the West (or very back) of hotel are quiet and a nice view but no kings, all have 2 beds.

A Very Good Value

Having never previously stayed at a Vagabond Inn, for the room rate I was impressed with the appearance of the property,the cleanliness of my room, and the value. The office staff were most accommodating and helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast was rather substantial and much appreciated.

Great location. Easy access to get around with a car, and there are other restaurants within easy walking distance.

I had an emergency stay over in Palm Springs. The Vagabond was one I picked to stay at . I was pleasantly suprised how nice it was . it has a nice pool and spa area which gets busy late afternoon . It has a small deli where you can get food the free breakfast which is also very good . There is a old style restaurant across the street . Which on my occasion came with a resident lounge Lizard dressed in a white polyester suit . It was great .

extremely noisy partying all night

The weekend we were there the hotel seemed full of ALL NIGHT partiers. We were kept awake almost ALL night. I think because it is a "non-smoking" hotel, the partying guests kept going outside their rooms to smoke. Loud music, guests "making out half dressed" outside of their rooms lasted ALL night. We were exhausted when we left. The room was satisfactory but the Security should have dealt with the partying problem. If someone is looking for a "party place" this is it!

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast out by the pool area was great. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Can’t say anything bad about this hotel. Everything was good.

The Thursday night downtown festival was fun and interesting. We ate at the Pomme Fritte-food was good but the service was terrible - very slow, wrong food, missing dessert, errors on check.

Good price for very nice motel

They have an elevator and could use the pool late at night. Very nice, quiet area. Wonderful place to stay in Palm Springs.

Great place to stay for the $

This is a great hotel for the price. The lady at the front desk was cheerful and helpful and hotel grounds are well-maintained. The room was spacious with fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, very clean. Only problem was the fridge was dripping onto the carpet so I got a wet foot on occasion. My dog was $10 extra a night and it would have been nice if they had a designated doggy area so as not to ruin their nice landscaping. The location is fabulous! A mile or so to downtown. Breakfast by the pool was nice too.

check out whitewater recreation area. Really cool! There’s also great hiking just down South Palm Canyon Drive. And try my favourite seafood place...Fisherman’s marketplace..but in the back...can’t remember the name...great little bar/restaurant.

Great value for the dollar

I only stayed a couple nights and was very pleased with everything. It’s getting hard to find a smoking room in California anymore and this hotel had what it takes to get me to check in. Anyway, was very pleased and would stay again.

I’m pretty sure it’s called "Indian Canyon" and I’m so glad I paid the price to drive in. I felt like I was seeing the real reason for calling this area Palm Springs. I was able to capture some very nice photos of the spring and palm trees which are for the most part all natural looking.

Very clean and reasonable, great location.

Convenient Location

Spacious room with two Queen beds - whereas many hotels in this price range provide Double beds. Convenient to downtown Palm Springs.

Rock Garden Cafe & Bakery. Very good brunch on Sundays for a reasonable cost. Nice outdoor patio from which you can view the surrounding mountains.

Basic Lodging

The staff was very nice and told us about their lovely breakfast and how nice our room would be. Well, it was pretty basic with a view out the back that looked like Tiajuana. Only one cockroach greeted us, but we’re sure he had more friends. Breakfast was coffee, dry cereal, milk, a few bagels, and the fill-and-flip-over Belgium waffle machine. It was basic which is what we needed for the Tour de Palm Springs bike ride.

Good value

Every thing was fine except the TV did not work. They fairly promptly rectified the situation by exhanging the TV with another room.

Great!

We stayed here for a night before heading out to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway the next day, and it was great. We have two toddlers, and it can be a challenge to get them to sleep in the same room; the room we got ended up with king sized beds (we were expecting queens), and there was a partition wall in between the beds, which made getting the kids to sleep much easier.

Great Bargain in Palm Springs

Can’t beat it for the money. Friendly staff and conveniently located. A great base from which to explore the Palm Springs area.

Clean and Comfortable

It was a "last minute" trip. At first we were concerned with the overall quality of the hotel when we booked the room as the price was so reasonable. Once we were in the room we found it to be clean with a comfortable bed. The included breakfast was good, and the location was nice too.

GOOD FOR THE PRICE

My wife and I booked this hotel strictly for its low price. It was only a weekend getaway. We were not dissatisfied the rooms were clean (old skool but great A/C) and the front desk was nice and professional. No complaints
