A great place to go

Great location for the money.
The hotel is clean and the rooms are standard size. Great location to subway only a three minute walk and abut 10 min ride to the city. Very safe neighborhood. Grocery store and CVS across from subway terminal. Burger King right next store for a quick breakfast and there was a more upscale restaruant for breakfast at the subway terminal. Only decent restaurant in area was Charlie Chans chinesse. Great restaurants one subway station away at Clearmont. We ate there most nights. Only twp complaints of room was our room was on the inside U shaped section and we could smell the exhaust fan from the hotel restaurant. The other one was the TV reception for most stations was terrible but we weren’t there to watch TV.
Many restaurants to choose from at the Clearmont terminal on CT Ave. Great food and take advantage of the early bird specials and happy hours. Definately use the subway to get to and from and around the city and we also used the bus system. We walked a lot also. Parking in DC is very expensive and driving is difficult lots of lights and one way streets.

Convenient DC hotel
The hotel was super convenient to the train and numerous eateries. The hotel was nice enough but I had a room that backed up to the elevator shaft so it was quite noisy. I considered asking to be moved but didn’t know if I would be better or worse off. I would consider staying there again, just because of the convenience and a reasonable rate.
I find October an excellent time to visit. It is past family vacation time and the weather has been pleasant on both of my visits.
