Beautiful Hotel

Hotel was beautiful. Construction when we went but otherwise very nice. Only 2 blocks from the beach!

Close to airport and comfortable

I would stay here again for business. Close to airport and the expressway, clean and friendly with lots of eating options in the area, but no beach. For business the beach is not worth the additional cost. It’s a little difficult to find the first time, but worth the effort for the value and the neighborhood.

Nice for a short stay

Everything you expect from Hilton family of hotels is there. Specious bathroom, comfortable beds, free Wifi, breakfast....no complaints there. This hotel is very close to the beach and there are a lot of restaurants around. Public transportation is right outside with less than a dollar to downtwon San Juan. Overall a good hotel for a short stay.

The location was perfect and walking distance to a variety of restaurants. Friendly staff and the most comfortable beds.

Excellent service, hotel is old

We stayed at this hotel for one night when we got into Puerto Rico and then one night before we left. The location was key as it is a few miles away from the airport. The first night we stayed the room was extremely clean but unfortunately we found two cockroaches. It is the tropics after all. Front desk immediately upgraded us to a suite but at that point it was hard to sleep. The last night everything was fine. The worst thing about teh hotel is the free breakfast, it plainly sucks. The best and most underrated part was the pool and evening bar. The food was great, lots of great big sized grilled items at very affordable price. The drinks are not bad either.

Stay at the Hampton Inn - San Juan

This hotel was very pleasant to stay at. The staff were very helpful and taxi service is on the spot good. You are within walking distance to the beach, a CVS drugstore, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Chili’s, as well as some good hometown latina cuisine. My family and I ate at Plato’s, which is right across the street from the hotel. It is a little pricier than I’m used to but my family of 4 decided to treat ourselves. It was worth the cost! The hotel is in a convenient location and only 15 minutes from the airport. It should not cost more than $15 (plus $1 for each piece of luggage) to get to or from the airport. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again. They also offer a nice breakfast, eggs, bagels, cereal, fruit, juice, etc. all complimentary and offer coffee, tea 24 hours. There is also poolside service which serves alcohol and food. The last night were were there we ordered food poolside and got grilled chicken, and other freshly cooked food. You do not have to go out to get food, which is convenient. There’s also a computer room with a few laptops, and you can print-out items free of charge. This is a recommended hotel for the budget conscious.

Great Hotel

The Hampton was very clean and comfortable. Wireless internet was included and very reliable. There is also a business center where you can print at no extra charge. I wasn’t staying in San Juan for vacation so I’m not sure how well this is located in relation to the various hot spots but it is a great hotel at a reasonable price.

Great stay at a great price

The hotel was clean and the beds were soft and plush. The employees helped us locate restaurants and attractions nearby.

Don Jose’s food is GREAT.A must try.Inka Chicken also very good.Beans are great.Don’t eat beans, but ate them.Pizza open 24 hrs also good.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Loved that the beach was so near as well as the restaurants and points of interests. Breakfast was great. LOVED the BAR by the pool. It was such a friendly atmosphere. Thank you for making our family vacation so memorable. Keep up the great work. We can’t to go back.

Awesome hotel!

Our family traveled to San Juan and spent a week in the Hampton. We have two children (6 and 1 years old) and everything was perfect. We felt very secure, the room was very clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and saved us lots of money. The pool was beautiful. Parking cost $5/night but definitely worth it. We would definitely stay there again and 100% recommend.

A Pleasant Stay

On the first evening at about 11:00 p.m., the AC started to leak profusely. About 5 minutes after I called the front desk, a hotel assistant came to move us to another room. Both rooms were clean and the view was nice. The only minor problem was the small amount of mould that was seen in the shower; that the least of my worries though. It would be nice if the breakfast menu could include proteins that do not contain pork, ham, or bacon. Very nice stay though. Try it. Great price too!Oh! The bed is the bomb!

Good base for exploring Puerto Rico

Great airport access. We flew in late at night and were at the hotel within 30 minutes (five minute cab ride). Beaches and casinos were a 5 minute walk away, and less than a block away was a local car rental agency, that was inexpensive and easy to deal with. Public transportation was a block away and easy to figure out for excursions to Old San Juan and great meals and shopping.

Place to Stay

4 of us got in at 5:30 AM and of course our room was not avaliable. The staff was extremely accommondating in storing our luggage, offering us breakfast, and finding us a tour to occupy our time until we were able to get into our room. Our room was large, comfortable and had all the conviences including free popcorn and chips. I highly recommend this hotel.

Puerto Rico!!

We stayed here for seven days. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff was very helpful and the pool bartender Michael was wonderful, My husband is still talking about him..

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

If you only have one day for any activities, I would definitly recommend the rain forest!! Take an extra set of clothing, When it rains-it pours!

ok hotel-nothing impressive

when i first checked in the person checking me in was not overly friendly and there were no employees at the door to help guests with their luggage like other hotels. The hot breakfast consisted most days of a rock hard fried egg and oily sausage patty.The pool area is small and there was not a constant replenishment of towels. The hotel needs its own grocery/convenience store because all they had was a small variety of items and you had to wait for the people at the front desk to check you out and if they were busy you were left there and ignored.I you just want a bed the hotels is good but if you want a full experience book a different hotel.

Hotel was great, the location was a little sketchy.

The hotel was nice. We enjoyed the pool with the wet bar and the hot tub. Walking the area around the hotel was not so much fun. The fitness center could use some work as well, but overall it was a great experience.

Great Spot in San Juan

Excellent hotel for a short trip to San Juan. Breakfast was fantastic, the room was spotless, and the pool was clean and refreshing! A three minute walk to "El San Juan Hotel and Casino" - definitely worth it for the restaurants and the nightlife!!

Perfect for before or after cruise

Group of 10 had 5 rooms. Great beds. Free breakfast buffet good. Hot tub under reconstruction but separate nice pool. Had luggage room so we could check out early and come back for our bags for a later flight.
