Easy access from city center and airport by tram & bus
Wanted a reasonably priced hotel in good location to city center & airport that would be safe and hospitable for 2 women friends. Found it all here. Cab from airport $30.U.S. Bought 3-day transportation pass which includes airport, just needed 2 buses or 1 bus, 1 tram to hotel. Saved $60+ on cab r.t. Hotel is very clean as were the room. Bed a little too firm for my taste but didnt plan on living there. Nice breakfast included in rate. Cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee, teas, eggs 2 ways, sausages, etc. all buffet style. Would definately stay again. Staff at desk speak impecable English and were very helpful. Even packed breakfast of fruit and 2 sandwiches, 1 ham, 1 cheese which is standard fare for Europe since we had very early flight departure. Was surprised it was not on Trip Advisor so on return home on Oct. 5 notified this site of a good hotel and now is on their list. Trip Advisor was very helpful on my trip to Paris in March; so, now I always check them before locking in any plans for Europe.
Prague is a city that is a magnificent museum. Everywhere you look, the architecture will simply amaze you. Every building is the original since World War II did not strike this beautiful city. Easily walkable in the Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The tram is easy and intersects with buses everywhere. The 3-day transportation pass is the best purchase. For another perspective, take 1 of the river boats for 1 hr tour. We were 2 seniors, and negotiated a lower price. Just ask. The Wallenstein gardens should not be missed. This is were some shots were taken of the movie "Immortal Beloved" which is a must see before you go to Prague. You will recognize many places in the movie. The old town square is another not to be missed place where the Astronomical Clock is. A concert should also not be missed. This is a city where the great composers worked and lived. Music is very important and everywhere in Prague. Found the people to be very friendly, English spoken everywhere. The beauty of Prague is memorable for a lifetime. For a birds eye view, take the funicular to the highest point where all of the city can be seen. The transportation pass can be used here. Prague is unforgettable.

OK but not as closed to the airport as I imagined it to be
Breakfast was good and with many food options. Room was cleaned but basic.

Less than expected
When we arrived we learned that our Superior room was not on an upper floor as promised; the room was actually on the ground floor. The room was nice, but it looked like the bathroom had been used before we arrived. The air conditioner was a joke. It did not work, and the hotel staff member who inspected it said it was functioning normally. Do not expect there to be functioning air conditioning in your room. The internet was available in our room for an extra charge, but we did get free wifi in the lobby. The hotel charges for amenities you might expect to be free, such as the pool. There was no alarm clock in the room, and the wake-up call we requested never came. The public transportation was great, so do not take a taxi or shuttle to/from the airport or city center. All things considered, we would probably stay at the hotel again.
Traveler's tip on dining
There is a great little pizza/Italian place across the street from the hotel. The food and atmosphere are really good. Try to sit next to the kitchen where you can watch them make pizzas. Just note that they, and many restaurants in Prague, dont accept credit cards.
