Cheap, but a little far from center of town
Rooms very small, amenities not 4 star like we are used to. More like 2 star. Beds are very firm and pillows are thin and flat not puffy. Breakfast staff are not friendly and always running out of things. Hotel is close to tram stop. Hotel area not in good neighborhood
Watch out for pickpockets in the city and on trams

A good hotel in Prague
The service at this hotel was excellent. I complained that a new arrival in the next room was too loud at night, as I was on my way to town in the morning. When I got back, the night desk clerk knew about the complaint and had the keys of the new and old room ready for me to relocate. Then I thought I locked my key in my room, and the desk clerk went to undo the lock very patiently and politely, even though he was the only one on duty there. The food at the hotel restaurant was probably better than at the restaurants in the touristy area, and perhaps a little cheaper. The breakfast left a bit to be desired, but it was adequate. As a vegetarian, my choices were cold cereal and fruit. If I go back, Id prefer to stay closer to old town. But the good thing about this hotel was that theres a tram stop right outside the door; tram prices are reasonable, and the hotel sells tram tickets at face value.
Traveler's tip on dining
Whatever you do in Prague, dont eat at Puskin ("Pushkin") Restaurant in old town by Charles Bridge--bad service and bad food (their idea of a vegetable tortilla was boiled and oiled carrots and onions (perhaps shallots) in a tortilla. I went to review this place for another website, and there was another review saying that the waitress lied, which she did with me as well.
