Insider’s Choice? No thanks....
For the top 1% I was disappointed. We use expedia frequently and currently live in Europe. The room was bigger than most European hotels but our bathroom was covered in hair! Disgusting! Breakfast was overpriced for typical continental breakfast. Shouldn’t be more than 10 Euro max. The location was good and parking was convenient. Would stay again but the insider’s choice was not top notch as I expected.

River cruise was a little disappointing. Some of the sites were out of sight because the water was too low.

Nice hotel, a short walk from the Cathedral
The condition of this hotel was very nice, very clean, and the staff was very friendly. However, the location wasn’t the greatest. You are not in the cute old town near the Cathedral, but you are a short (10-15) walk or 5 minute tram ride from the old town. So, if you want to stay in the old town, pay a bit more and do so. If you don’t mind the walk, go for this hotel.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
The boat trip through Strasbourg is very nice. Take it at dusk when the crowds have gone down and you’ll enjoy it more. It is also much better than the tram ride through the city. Opt for the boat ride.
