great potential
The Gewandhaus is quite acceptable but falls short of the perfection expected from a 4-5 star property. My particular room had a wonderful bath but the sleeping area was low-end. The bedspread, unusual for German hotels, draped onto the floor and had been stepped on repeatedly over time and was filthy. If the top and finest hotels are out of reach, this property is an excellent option.

Nice Place
I thouroughly enjoyed my stay. However, I did think that some of the costs were quite high. Particularly the 21 Euro breakfast. That was an extraordinary price. I also thought that when staying in a 5 Star hotel, parking should be included, the addittional 15 euro per day really added up.
