Outrageous internet fee

I liked the hotel, but I would not stay there again since the charge for internet service was over $45 per day or $ 1.40 a minute!!!! which ever is less. I have stayed much less expensive hotels even in Europe and the internet was included.

Convenient and classy

I stayed one night in this hotel on a layover in Frankfurt. The hotel was conveniently located a few blocks from the main train station. The staff was very friendly and professional and my room was immaculate and modern. I especially liked the blue mood lighting behind the bed and above the wardrobe!

Best Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany

This is a perfect Hotel. The main Bahnhof is 200 meters. You can go any where from this hotel. The hotel services is outstanding!!!!! This is the hotel in Frankfurt! Everyone speaks eniglish. You cannot go wrong with this hotel. If you like class and have standards; then this s the hotel.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

You can travel anywhere from this hotel because of the main Bahnhof. If I would have know that the hotel was that close to the bahnhof, i would not have rented a car. I did not use one bit. It stayed park.

Unimpressed Service

Staff at this property are not helpful. Imagine they did not give you the assistance you need on connecting to the internet when you are out of town on business? And still charge you every minute when you wasted 80% of your time trying to hook up to the network? Not business friendly. Ibis does a better job than this Le Meridian.

This hotel exemplified personal service, warmth and friendliness

Our stay in Frankfurt was made more enjoyable by this delightful old-world hotel, so unlike impersonal large commercial hotels. The waiters remembered our ideosyncratic breakfast requests and had them ready as soon as we arrived, the chef had guests sampling hors d’oevres in the lobby before dinner and discussed recipes and menus, and our stay was a great pleasure. Many tnanks!

Very friendly, convenient, and modern

The hotel staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help. I wanted to find a drug store at 9pm, and everyone jumped in to help me find one that was still open. The hotel is just across the street from the main train station - very convenient. The hotel is also close to museums, churches, lots of restaurants, and shopping.

Traveler's tip on shopping

The train station is a great resource for little shops - groceries, flowers, drug store, etc.

More than you expect

The hotel is clean, efficient, and comfortable. It is a block from the central train station and an easy walk to the old part of the city. The room is very small but the bed really is a queen size. The bathroom is cramped but complete and the bath products are of good quality. The restaurant is very good, reasonably priced (for Frankfurt), and probably the most under-rated part of the experience. I think the reason that the restaurant is not reviewed by most of the websites and books is because it is off the main cluster of restaurants. They are members of the Chaine which is normally the mark of a very good restaurant. In summary if you want oppulent, this is not it. If you want a higher end comfortable experience and are willing to sacrifice some space in your room for it this is a good deal.

Small Rooms, but very nice and modern

Very upscale hotel, rooms are small, but clean and comfy. The breakfast buffet is huge but incredibly costly. I made the mistake of not asking if it was included in the price of the room. Very convenient to the main train station, but there isn’t much in the general vicintiy in terms of restaurants or shops. About a mile from the main area on the Ziel.

Highly Recommended; Would Definitely Stay Here Again

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked into the hotel, the employees were quick to help me. They offered to carry my bag, which I politely declined, and were eager to check me in. The process of getting me my room took only about two minutes. The room itself was excellent. It was smaller than I had expected, but I guess I was used to American Hotels which are a lot bigger. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The LCD televsion was nice as well. The showers was scolding with great water pressure. I went to see the gym they had set up, and it looked a little small, but for someone who wanted to get in a workout, it was more than enough. This hotel is literally one minute walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof. The Casablanca bar downstairs was also very enjoyable. After exploring the city a bit, I got back there to have a really great burger. The Bavarian beer I had there was excellent, as was the live Jazz Band playing. The waiter was extremely quick on service as well. I had the opportunity to eat breakfast in the restaurant downstairs as well. Although a tad bit pricey, it was definitely worth it. It was probably the best breakfast buffet I had ever had. They had all the fresh fruit you could want, a vast selection of breads, meats and a grill to order eggs and what not.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Just about a 15 minute walk from the hotel down Kaiserstraâe, is the Zeil Market. I had gone down there to see if I could get some souvenirs for friends, but it turned out the market was more fashion and clothing. If that’s what you’re looking for, that is a definite stop.
