Nice stay, good breakfast

We stayed in room 403, initially I thought the room was far from the elevator and the main lobby. After I discovered the room was very close to the garage and its own elevator, I was pleased. Although we decided to park on the street instead of paying the $17 daily parking fee, the location of the room was convenient to where I ultimately parked my car. My family enjoyed the daily breakfast feast provided each morning. I enjoyed the convenience of the Starbucks in the lobby and preferred my simpler morning choice of yogurt and coffee. The lobby is filled with WIFI users, so that is also a good thing to have. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the varierty of the breakfast foods was great and my family enjoyed it each morning. The room was always clean and tidy, and we had plenty of towels. In this room, you can hear the occasional ice maker noise, but for heavy sleepers, it’s just fine.

Dinner at the Red, Hot & Blue was very reasonable, and the menu offered healthy salads and not so healthy entrees, which satisfied everyone in the family. The price was very reasonable and the staff was pleasant.

Good Choice

The hotel is excellent. The location is difficult to find but the Metro is close (Three long blocks) and there is an inexpensive bus to George Town.

Traveler's tip on dining

We went to three restaurants in Georgetown and they were all excellent.

A little disapointing - especially for a Marriott

Second time staying there and not impressed. Room smelled of cigarette smoke and when I asked to be move to another room they said they couldn’t accomodate. No comlimentary offer. Instead they sent someone up to spray the room - didn’t work. There was a big wasp/hornet nest outside room door on balcony making it difficult to sit out and enjoy the balcony. Mentioned that and nothing. Lastly got charged for room service and never ordered anything. They did wipe it off of my bill..But that is the second time I got mistake charge. Happened the first time I stayed and I didn’t complain - just paid it. Probably will look to stay elsewhere next time
