Philly
The hotel was great as usual. Employees were extremly curteous and helpful. The part me and fiancée enjoyed was the way they picked you up at the free parking lot and drop you off right at your lodge entrance. We both felt this was a awsome service. The only gripe would be it seemed like the guys during the day were a little more curteous and available. Overall it was a great vacation and I will go back again. Thank you Doral golf and spa resort.

It was really nice
We liked the hotel and amenities; it was rainy and horrible weather, and we ate at the restaurants onsite and everything was great.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
This hotel was worth the money, and for an August overnight, worked out perfectly.

Amazingly Below Expectations
We use Expedia often when we travel. We sort and select from 4 or 5 Star properties and locate a familiar name/brand in an attempt to be sure of a ’quality stay’. I assumed that as a PGA Tour hotel/resort/SPA/Golf Facility owned and operated by Marriott we could not miss with Doral! I was wrong. We missed. The grounds are beautiful. The golf course is breathtaking to look at even though I did not play, because of work/family commitments. Beyond the grounds the rooms are behind and not connected to the check-in desk. The bell person advised me to drive around with my luggage and "if I wanted" someone would meet me around there to help. The room had huge palm trees growing right outside the balcony that obstructed the view. Not that we went on the balcony because it was literally 10 feet wide but only 2 feet long! The parking was cumbersome for me and other guest I observed. You have to use your room key and often having to insert it several times to gain access. The grounds and ammenities are close to five star, food at the restuarant off the golf course was delicious, the room and poorly maintained swimming pools and staff, 2 stars at best!
There is a single water slide that is only open a few hours at a time. There are multiple pools but the draining was sub standard. Probably not the best location for a family getaway.
