Appreciate a good sleep

Location was difficult to find in the dark. Signage is poor. Room was comfortable and I slept well. I asked for a shuttle to the airport early in the morning and in the morning they left without me as scheduled, then I was told I was not on the list. The desk receptionist was very mediocre and failed to LISTEN to my request, seemingly. I DID manageto make the next shuttle and get to my flight on time...Praise the Lord. The coffee was just being brewed but I did get some coffee. Continental breakfast was not available...but I managed!

Get a large sign and some lights to show the way and make the lodging KNOWN.

Nice

Nice hotel, comfortable beds. The only problem was my remote did not work and the front desk said there wasn’t anything that could be done until the next day.

Good Airport Hotel

The king sized bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in in a long time. The room was immaculate and roomy. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful when I needed to change my reservations. My only complaint was we ran out of toilet paper, and a call to the front desk at 7 am told us we had to wait for housekeeping to come on duty or until someone could help out at the front desk. At 7 am and needing to use the bathroom is NOT a time one wants to get dressed and go to the front desk.

One problem

Although the hotel was alright and they provided parking while we were gone, there was no hotel phone information at the airport for us to contact the hotel when we returned.

Classy hotel with problems

Recently remodeled hotel has some major design issues. Granite countertop of bathroom sink too close to commode. Hit back and elbow on corner of granite many times when sitting down. Had to ask for extra toilet paper. Were very stingy with toiletries. Phone had a constant blinking message light even though I had no messages. Front desk said it could not be fixed. Some kind of problem with all phones on my floor. Water dripped through seal problem in window during rainstorm. Would not leave more than one coffee cup pack even after leaving note for maid. Ice available on only one floor even though sign said otherwise. Long trek to get there. Restaurant was overpriced and food was bland.

Airport Hotel in Greensboro

Accommodations were satisfactory. Business services Internet accessibility was not operating doing stay, otherwise good stay at this facility.

Will use the Wyndham again....

I needed a room in the airport area to make a 6:30 am flight the following day and chose the Wyndham because of the shuttle service and price. The staff was wonderful and went over and above to accommodate my requests. They were friendly & helpful. I ordered room service for dinner. Food & service were very good. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Nice room but a few minor Issues

Still in the process of converting to a Wyndham. Some construction in the lobby, etc. Cable TV only had a few local channels. It was interesting that they had a current HBO Guide but no HBO. Could not get the wireless internet working in the room. Front Desk was unable to offer any help in resolving the issue. For the money it was a very clean comfortable room. Just don’t count on the TV or internet.

Holiday Inn renovation

This is not up the the normal standards of a Wyndam hotel, but they have done a good job of renovating an older, Holiday Inn. The location was good, and when they are done with the work, I’m sure the hotel will be just fine. The staff was very helpful, and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great value, Comfy Room, as long as Noise Level Managed at Night

Love the room comfort; hotel being upgraded so the lobby and common areas will only improve. Very close and easy access to airport and surrounding areas. Strict no-smoking policy inside hotel which is great but this results in guests seeking smoking location to meet on side entrance. 2 of 3 nights of my stay were interrupted in early morning hours due to partying by the same group of guests at this entrance. Calls to the front desk were not immediately addressed; requiring me to get dressed to personally demand the party be stopped. Night staff needs to proactively discourage/prevent this.

looks like an old holiday inn

THis hotel used to be a holiday inn. It still resembles one except the room was upgraded. The bathroom needed some more work. The shuttle had a little problem getting us to the airport. It wasn’t that it was a horrible stay it’s just that we would spend the extra money to stay at a nicer place.

OK, but not great

Hotel has been remodeled. One problem with the remodel is that (at least in my room) the new bathroom sink top crowds the toilet so much that one has to lean way to the left while sitting on the toilet (My height/ weight 5-9, 180). Another minor disappoitment was a Pay Only breakfast offering.

Our greatest thanks for your courteous response, since seeing your comment we are working our hardest to get all of our sinks cut to a smaller length, so as to make the toilet area bigger. Currently, we have a package plan in the works for Expedia.

The cooling/heater unit made a load racket and kept waking me up all night. I am very surprised that there were not prior complaints regarding this unit (it could not have just started to happen that night). I told the people at the front desk and I hope they fixed the problem. The noise was so loud I bet other people in rooms below me and next to me could have heard it.

Awesome hotel at a great rate...

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of hotel for the price I paid. This hotel had been recently renovated and it showed. The room was beautiful, clean and the bed was so comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Greensboro area. It’s my new hotel of choice when I’m in town.

Nice Non-cosmopolitan type Hotel

My room was great! Nice large remodeled with great bedding and mattress, flat screen TV,free wireless in lobby. However, the heater was either too hot or not at all. Although apparently not all rooms have been remodeled as an associate of mine had to change his room. The hall ways could be cleaner. Location was a little hard to find but near high way. Nice polite staff and reasonable rate.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

If you are a foodie or picky eater, don’t expect anything great near the hotel. Plan ahead for your meals. Once you come back to the hotel, you won’t feel like driving somewhere else for good food so you might go hungry like I did one night.

Great place to stay

We found everything to be great at this hotel. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The restaurant was satisfactory, however I thought the breakfast should have been complimentary.

Wyndham Garden Hotel GSO Airport: Under Construction...

I used to live in the GSO area so I am familiar with many of the local hotels. It wasn’t until I drove up to the Wyndham that I realized that it used to be a Holiday Inn and something else prior to that. Although the name changed I can’t say that this hotel has yet to live up to the Wyndham family name. Five months post-transition remodeling of the lobby and check-in area were still underway and the official hotel name had not been replaced on the marque but had been draped across as a flag. I requested extra towels during my visit and was given 2 sets of gym/workout towels and washclothes; I was told that this was all they had... Once they get up to speed I’m sure that future guests will have a decent stay. The bar staff were very friendly and the restaurant food was OK.

Rooms need mirrors

Staff was great at granting my request to change rooms due to a noisy gathering directly across the hall from my 1st room. However, the rooms did not have any mirrors in them except for the one over the sink in the bathroom. Also, there weren’t enough easily accessible electrical outlets (for battery chargers, etc.). The outside door to the parking lot said "locked at all times for security" but was actually unlocked all day & most of the evening. But the bed was comfortable & free of bedbugs, so that’s a plus! The hotel is in a great location for easily accessing most areas of Guilford, Forsyth, & Rockingham counties.

sad

little place on an access road to nowhere, smells of oil drift by, rooms were clean and comfy first tv did not work, pleasant staff, responsive, corner of sink counter top stuck me in back when attempting to sit on toilet

Nice place, great bed!

I was very satisfied with the clean, comfortable room and the level of service provided by the staff. The bed was extraordinary with premium bedding.

Absolutely nothing nearby to get food. Plan to drive to another exit or down the road a bit to eat.
