Very nice, excellent location

Just in the middle between Holborn and TCR tube stations, a minute’s walk from the British museum and Oxford Street. The hotel is currently being refurbished, so this is probably why we got an excellent rate (and upgraded to an executive suite). Will definitely return if I get the chance to do so in the near future.

Good location

Great staff, especially the concierge, very helpful. I’ll be going back to London soon, and I’ll stay in this hotel again.

Don’t expect to much, would stay there again.

Hotel is a little pricey, however, what it lacks in amenities it makes up for in location. Great place to stay at if your in London for a short period of time. Be sure to request a double bed and check in early to get one, they don’t have too many rooms with them. Hot shower with plenty of water pressure was a major plus. Probably the best I’ve had in Europe.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Conveniently located close to the British Museum and a short walk to the Theatre district and Convent Garden shopping. From the Holborn and Tottenham Court Road tube stops you can get anywhere in the city.

lumpy pillows, lumpy beding cover. The pillows where hard as rocks, and the comfoter felt like a weight was on. Wall had paper peeling.

Awful Hotel - Do Not Stay Here

The hotel gave us a disgusting, filthy room. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and the bed was literally hard as a rock. This is NOT a four star hotel - it is more like a one star hotel. Furthermore, the staff is incredibly rude and refused to help when we complained about the room. Save yourself money and a headache - do not stay at this hotel.

Okay but badly in need of refreshing. Noisy, too.

Service staff extremely pleasant and responsive. Public areas okay. Price a decent value given London’s incredible pricey-ness. But interior of room badly in need of refreshing - e.g., whole strip of tiles missing in bath; cloth-covered headboards to beds disgustingly dirty, etc. Also, we were in first floor front rooms - on a busy street and just 10 feet above a bus stop - very noisy! To stay there again would want assurance we would not be in a lower floor front room, maybe not a front room at all.
