Served the purpose
Overall, I was pleasantly staisfied with my experience at the Greenwood Inn; the room and bathroom were standard in desighn but clean and comfortable,the bed was very comfortable and you even get a complementary copy of the Glob & Mail at your doorstep every morning. It’s easy to find, right on the main drag, a straight shot from the airport. The only real negatives are its location in front of busy train tracks (which you don’t here with the widow closed) and the noisy air conditioner.

Our hotel of choice
We stay at the Greenwood Inn when ever we travel to Edmonton. Nice and clean, plenty of parking and friendly staff. The trains were shuttling for a couple of hours around 9 pm making it quite noisy. Would have prefered a room on the west side away from the tracks. We parked on the east side and found that the pass card wasn’t necessary as the entrance door wasn’t closing all the way permitting non guests accessability. Otherwise a good stay.

Bitten by mites
While sleeping, during the first night stay, an insect/spider/mite bit me about a 12 times, leaving quite large bite marks (size of a quarter) on my legs and torso. The hotel management moved me to a different room. No more bites for the remaining 4 nights of the stay.

Don’t get a room on the side where the train runs
There is a train track just outside the back of the hotel and a warehouse/factory there. Trains were running all times during the day and night. I had to wear earplugs to sleep.
