Nice hotel
We choose this hotel because it was close to the cruise port. We only spent one nite.The hotel and room were very clean. The linens on the bed was much better than most hotels.We had room service and the wait for the food was not long.The food was average.

There is a Wallgreens across the street. Apparently there were more shops about a block away but being from Minnesota we were not used to the heat so spent most of our time at the hotel.

Great Before a Cruise
Great hotel to stay before leaving for a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale. Close to pier. Two restaurants within walking distance. Good transportation to ships. Beautiful pool but noisy because it’s right on the main road.

No four star for this hotel
This hotel does not rate 4 stars. Not even a continental breadfast. Had to ask several times for extra cream and sugar for coffee. The word I would use is stingy. The young valet person was the most helpful and available. I could not in good conscience recommend this hotel to my friends.

A nice place!
This hotel is Not on the beach ... but it is easy to get anywhere with a rental car. Close to the airport, close to the cruise port and close enough to the beaches. There are several restarants nearby (Hotel restaurant was a little pricey for the quality) and a Walgreens is right across the street. It had the feeling of being redone recently and we were very happy with the pool area. Overall, pretty nice!

very very nice
Very nice facility, very close to cruise port and close to the Water Taxi.... all staff were very nice and helpful.

Take the water taxi... will take you all over, day pass is 13.00... gives you a nice tour as well...

If it hadnt been for the service, i probably would have just been luke warm
i would stay there again because of the service. The hotel wasnt overwhelming or underwhelming. I was just whelmed...but the service was excellent...everyone was very helpful

More of a business hotel
Very nice hotel, however, more geared to the business person. Pool was quite small. Hotel lobby very formal. On the plus side, front desk staffing was very friendly and knowledgable.

this hotel was better than i expected
very clean, large heated pool, nice gym, not on the beach however for this time of the year (jan29-feb3)it was perfect. the beach was too cold.

Great Place in Port Everglades
We had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance Hotel in Port Everglades on the waterfront in Ft. Lauderdale the night prior to boarding a cruise ship. We found lovely restaurants and shopping areas within walking ditance, and the cruise ships were actually visible in the harbor from our hotel room window. The service was excellent , the staff very helpful, and the hotel and grounds were very beautiful and well kept. It was a great beginning to a lovely vacation! Would definitely stay there again!

Great Pre-Cruise Stay
The Renaissance Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale has been recently refurbished. We found the Renaissance to be beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. It has wonderful new beds and flat screen televisions in every room. The staff is very accommodating, friendly, helpful! The hotel is close to the airport, the cruise terminal and the beach! We used four rooms and nobody in our family had even one concern. We will definitely use this hotel again. Our stay was TERRIFIC!

If you are cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale, make your own reservations on Expedia instead of making reservations through the cruise line. You will save $$$$!

Just a little better than ok.
The service at the front desk was okay. No warm fuzzy feelings there. The rooms were very nice and clean but the beds were not very comfortable. The only real let down was the "buffet" breakfast they serve in one of their restaurants in the lobby. There were not nearly enough selections, especially for what it costs.

We enjoyed our pre-cruise stay here. The hotel was excellent. We had a great room with a beautiful view. Our stay passed too fast. We can’t wait to go back again.

This property typifies the Renaissance brand. The service was excellant. This is the closest quality hotel to Port Everglades and the cruise line docks.

Lovely experience
Thank you for a lovely getaway from the harshness of this winter. I felt pampered in the hotel and found all staff very helpful. I would stay here again anytime.

Great Place to Stay
I was pleasantly surprised, the hotel staff were helpful and polite. The bed was large, clean and comfortable, when I asked for a King that is was I got. I wasn’t surprised by a queen or 2 doubles.The Renaissance is very close to the cruise ship ports, while also being within walking distance to nice local resteraunts.

On the same side of the street as the hotel, up about 2-3 blocks is a little Italian cafe, nice food and atmosphere.

the best place to vacation
We travel extensively domestically and internationally. This is an outstanding hotel. The staff was super and amazing. The rooms were very clean, and the food was great. The pool was good.Wallgreen is across the street, open 24 hrs. coffee and drinks are available. We requested the conceirage level. It served a great breakfast , drinks, desserts and small meals. It was well worth the price. We walked to the water taxi, although we had a car.Great location. I would recommend this hotel to everyone for all of its services, along with the great price. you will not be dissappointed.

Nice hotel for the price
Overall it was a good experience. However the beds were very hard giving me a back ache each morning. I was unaware of the $15 self park, and $20 valet parking on top of the room fee after checking in. I couldn’t find this anywhere on the expedia website. The staff was curtious and the room was clean. I’d most likely stay again.

I did not like that I had to pay 15.00 a day to park my renatl car. Other than that it was just fine.

Had a verygood time, I’ll stay there again
the room is very nice, has a mini refrigerator, restaurants and the mall are very close. The only thing I have to complain is the internet connection. The connection is on and off. By the way, if you are thinking about the rental car, stay away from budget. They are very rude and trying to suck you off like a vampire. This is not the first time and this is not the only place. Budget is the only one rental car company that requires receipt to prove that you filled up the gas.

Great Location for Cruise Passengers
The hotel is close to the airport and the cruiseport in Fort Lauderdale. It is also close to the intercoastal waterway. We utilized the water taxi when we were there. We got a great package deal. The hotel was clean. The pool is beautiful and has great comfy lounge chairs. The restaurant in the building is overpriced but good. The room was very nice and comfortable. We also used the gym which was very clean. I will use this hotel again if I return to Fort Lauderdale.

There is a culinary school across the street near the Walgreens. The food is great and the prices are half of what you would expect for the quality.
