Stair Climbing Required
This is a nice hotel with lovely facilities but they have a maze to get to anywhere. There are a lot of stairs and the hallways are outdated and tattered looking. The room was very comfortable and there was no charge for parking. The town center was easily accessible and the wi-fi in my room worked well. I would stay there again.

Nope. Never again.
After returning on this trip and talking over my experiences, I came to find out that my boss had experienced what he categorized as very poor customer service at this hotel. He apologized saying "I should have warned you." I felt poorly treated by two persons of the rotating front desk staff. A third chap was a great person, but one doesnt compensate for the overall experience. An early departure was not allowed even though we were unhappy. Had that departure been granted, I might have considered not writing this review. I felt that refusing to accept 24 or 48 hours notice for an early departure based on poor service was an unfair policy position given the situation. Simply put, I was quite unhappy and they would not let us leave without charging us. Our need to stay in Cheltenham did not change. We wanted to change to a different hotel in the same basic price range (slightly more expensive.) Hopefully, your experience is much better and quite enjoyable. Ours was not enjoyable.
