If all you want is cheap, go for it
This hotel is very inexpensive and its very close to the Brussels Square meeting center. But we were very disappointed to find that this is not nearly as nice as any other Renaissance Ive visited in the U.S. It is comparable with a Courtyard Marriott at best. Pros: Front desk was helpful with map and directions, very inexpensive, quiet, walking distance to several nice restaurants. Cons: Far from Grand Place and most "nightlife," very outdated appointments and fixtures in the room, advertised mini-bar was an empty refrigerator, advertised "club floor" was only open during business hours, not on weekends.

Not exactly close to the train station
It is a beautiful hotel, in a nice location, but I asked to be near the train station, and it was a long walk every day. The front desk spoke good English and promised to do things, but we were there on a weekend, and trying to get more coffee packets and three cups in our room was very difficult every day. They kept promising, but it didnt happen until I really insisted! The room was cold, but they ignored requests for help, and we finally covered the blowers with towels. I would have preferred a less fancy hotel, where they were more willing to help.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
There is nothing going on near this hotel. It is mainly for business travelers. Be prepared for a long walk to be near the attractions.
