VISITING YEMEN
Despite my late arrival, the fron desk staff was awake, alert, and eager to welcome me. Room clean and serviceable - less fancy than comparably-priced establishments in Kuwait, Jordan, and Syria - but friendly. Breakfast minimal in selection but what was available was quite good (I was surprised by the hot dogs in a Muslim country!).
Traveler's tip
My wake up call did not materialize so it was fortuitous that my panting-breath at 7300 feet kept me half-awake all night, or I would have missed my early-morning flight.
