Hard to Find, Nice to Look At
Hotel is VERY hard to find and even with MapQuest and directions from the hotel staff I had to stop to ask a Postman! Location is in a middle class neighborhood but the grounds are extensive and well kept. The original building was formerly a hospital and has been traditionally redone. The rooms are almost all in a new wing that looks like a college dormitory. Rooms are big enough but with few amenities. No internet or wi-fi availble except one free terminal on the front desk that is often busy and has some nasty security software that often blocks what you want to see. My recommendation would be to stay a bit futher out of town in a real B&B or in the city center at a real hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Car fans should see the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Museaum in addition to the major car attraction in town. Unfortunately the Jaguar factory is now closed and torn down, but the museaum remains in top shape and it’s FREE. Located on Brown’s Lane, any local can tell you where. Very near by is the town of Allenby with a couple of great pubs for lunch.
