A tiny bit on the seedy side
Everything in the hotel is a bit run down, even the parking lot. They need to renovate in general and spruce up the scuff marks, chipped paint,etc. The hallways also smell a bit and the carpeting is lumpy in some areas. The mattress on the bed moved and the sheets seemed washed but somehow not "clean" to me. The window in the room didn’t open. It wasn’t terrible, but I just felt like I didn’t want to touch anything, so I wasn’t comfortable there....
Traveler's tip
Holiday Inn across the street costs a little more but MUCH nicer. I also hear, in general, that the hotels on west side of Amarillo are newer and nicer than on the East Side. Also - get a decent street map before you go if you plan to do any driving around or locating of anything. Don’t use the map from the rental car agencies. I keep getting lost using their maps.Also, there is apparently a Highway 40 and an Interstate 40 both going through town and that can be confusing.

pretty good place
Stayed at hotel on a saturday night after concert at local civic center. not the most luxurious, but an overall good clean hotel. free shuttle service to the civic center for events would be a nice touch to entice guest to stay there!
