Seaview

Great hotel. Be prepared it is older, and keeps that feel, but well maintained. 8 miles from Atlantic City, and it’s an easy ride in. Overall, a good experience!

Beautiful

Probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The people were very friendly and helpful. It rained alot during our three days there so we missed out on the nice looking outdoor pool.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Atlantic city is so close by, along with some other nice shore towns like Ocean City. Also down the road is Smithville.

Close to Atlantic city and Ocean city

Very pleased with my stay. Food was good. The only thing that was a negative was the horse flys out by the pool or just about anywhere outdoors.

Traveler's tip on dining

Don’t bother finding anything else in the area the hotel has way better food.

Nice place, a little pricey

We wanted to attend a concert in Atlantic City but hotel prices in AC were too much. This was a good option although still pricey for a hotel being far from AC. In any case, if you like golf it seems to be a great option. We like the early 20th century flavor but still with modern features. Need new plasma TVs though.

Old Hotel needs some refreshing

The hotel is old and faded. Our room needed an update, the window treatments & bathroom were in need of a freshening up.

this is now our place. nice place to go when u get sick of the husstle and busstle of the city

indoor and outdoor pool, courteous service (everyone says hi to you, it’s crazy). valet parking, if u’d like (free parking available too). nice fitness facility and dining room. prices for food not too ridiculous. mak sure you eat before 11 pm though, or u might be stuck eating dominos for dinner. basketball court, tennis court, extensive golf course. loved it. nice getaway. only complaint-- pillows were to fluffy. all else was well.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

bring your own tennis balls. tennis rackets available for free.

Pretty Place

Loved the hotel pool and the casual dining restaurant. The bed was extremely comfortable. However the bed & floor in our room felt damp, and the bathroom was very strange - it felt like being in a bathroom at a high school. The building was very pretty but in desperate need of paint & cleaning.

Nice Break from the Hustle and Bustle of AC

My friend and I decided to stay here as opposed to staying closer to Atlantic City like we usually do and I am very happy we did. It was very nice and relaxing compared to the hotels closer to the action!

Nice service, lots of room a little worn

Hotel is nicely situated in "countryside" about 15 minutes from Atlantic City. Very nice grounds with walking trails that wind between golf courses, spa, and large pool. Interior is a bit warn, but rooms are spacious with good accomodation. Food on menu is bar food, nothing gourmet here. Very helpful & friendly staff. Great for golfers. Beach is a 15 minute drive as is the AC boardwalk. Very nice stay if don’t want to be in the middle of AC, but still want to go there without much of a drive. Very reasonable prices.

Fourth of July Getaway

I stayed at the Seaview for a vacation during the 4th of July. I was skeptical to go because of the large vacation crowds, however, it was very spacious and I was not crowded during my stay at all. Great value for the price and I look forward to coming there again.

Sernity!

Loved our stay at the Seaview. Very family oriented, the kids and we were comfortable sending them to the pool by themselves.Very courteous staff, great restaurants, beautiful dining hall. The location is brilliant too. Just 9 miles from the madness of Atlantic City. We spent evenings at the AC boardwalk, drove to Cape May, 40 minutes drive and spent the day at the shore. I would highly recommend the Seaview. Its a golf lovers paradise with beautiful golf courses. Itsthe hotel, the golf course and the ocean...uninterrupted!

Looking for a good deal so that I can go back!

Lovely old world hotel with modern conveniences. Welcoming lobby (with lobby bar). Very comfortable beds. Only negative is that parking is a short distance to hotel’s front door; otherwise you can valet park your car for an additional charge.

Kid-friendly!

Spent a weekend at the Seaview with a 20 month old. The resort had lots of programs for kids of all ages. Despite the comfort of the hotel, other guests are not very tolerant of the kids as guests.

Surprisingly great place for families with a lot to do!

A Wonderful Birthday Visit

After a long stretch of work with no vacation, a birthday getaway was in order. The Seaview is beautiful, and they are all about service. For example, the amazing & friendly woman at the check-in desk gave me a room upgrade when she found out it was my birthday. So, not only did I have the relaxing time by the pool I’d scheduled, I had a beautiful, spacious room overlooking the pool. The staff was always friendly and attentive, the pool area was immaculate and well-maintained, and the meals were delicious. I had been to the Seaview on a prior visit, and it, too, was remarkable in terms of service and quality. I plan another escape there as soon as possible!

Traveler's tip on dining

If you are staying for the weekend, the brunch is incredible.

Not the place for non-golfers

The hotel is nice enough. Everyone except for the people at the front desk were very nice. I liked the two on-site restaurants. I was disappointed that they claimed to have a tennis pro to give lessons (they didn’t) and a babysitting service (it was a third party, off-site group that they made you sign a disclaimer if you even wanted to call them). They also try to push the Marriot Resorts Villas on you while you are at the hotel. All in all, it was overpriced and fairly average. Also don’t get mislead by the name - you have to climb to the top of the roof if you want a view of the sea.

Nice...

My stay at this hotel was positive and the staff was very gracious. The hotel rooms were clean but I wish the sheets and towels were soft and fluffy (both were clean though). I would and probably will stay here again.

Great getaway spot!

We went to the Seaview Marriott because we had a spa day planned at the adjacent Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. The surprise was the comfort and convenience of the hotel (and we didn’t even hit Atlantic City, which is only a few miles away!) After the day of relaxation, we stayed in and had room service, which was speedy and delicious. Since we live in New Jersey, we consider the Seaview a getaway close to home. We will definitely make this an annual excursion.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

While the boys are golfing, hit the spa. It’s first class! After a day of relaxing, hit the casinos!

The Spa Was Fantastic!

I stayed at the villas in April and decided to return for our anniversary and stay in the hotel. They have renovated parts of the hotel and our room had not been done yet. This is one of the oldest still operating hotels in New Jersey and has that old world feel. They have done a wonderful job in updating certain parts and are still in progress. The hallways are a bit noisey, and the bed was a bit soft. Staff was wonderful, the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is just perfect. They are very professional and reasonable. The Spa is a short walk or van ride around the corner. The ammenidies were first class. The breakfast was a wonderful array of cold to made to order waffle or omelets. It is just 20 minuets to Atlantic City and they can arrange a car for round trip for a fee.

Great Weekend Getaway

It’s great for golfers, family or couple’s vacation. Very quiet and relaxing.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Hamilton Mall is only 15 min away, and the outlet stores by Atlantic City is only 25 min away.

great hotel for families

The kids loved this hotel because it has a lot of activities for kids. It is fun because in the recreation room they have games. There is also indoor and outdoor pools and tennis courts and basket ball courts. The hotel also sponsors events for the kids

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

For adults they have two golf courses and a lot of resturants. Also the breakfast buffet is very good.

Old Fashioned Country Club

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would love to stay at the Seaview again in the summer and enjoy it’s spa features.

Traveler's tip

We chose to stay at the Seaview because hotels on the boardwalk were so expensive. (We were seeing a show at the Taj). However I would re-think that option as a cab ride to the boardwalk was $35 both ways.

3 Moms, 6 Kids, Awesome time had by all!

Three moms and 6 girls travelled to a Cheeta Girls concert in Atlantic City on December 17th. We are so glad that we stayed at the Seaview Marriott and chose not to stay in Atlantic City with the girls. The hotel was a short drive to Atlantic City but it had so many great features that we did not mind the 15 minute ride. The girls loved the indoor pool, the game room and the great buffett brunch on Sunday. The Moms loved the Elizabeth Arden Spa. It was a great destination for a girls weekend. We all felt very safe and the hotel staff was great.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Great alternative to staying in Atlantic City with a family.
