Not great, not bad
The hotel was nothing special. The room was clean enough, but the towels and linens and even the carpeting were pretty tired. The pool area was also in need of face lift, and some cleaning. In the fitness center, two of the cardio machines, and there was not much else, were broken. All in all O.K., clean enough, but due for some renovation.

Maintenance Distaster
We stayed in Rm 209 which had a toilet that ran on and off all night, so we kept waking up thinking "someone" was at our sink running water in our room. The Internet modem didn’t work, so staff had to bring a new one. The heat/air conditioner thermostat was broken, so we had to sleep with no air on because only HOT air blew out(we didn’t learn of this problem until we were already exhausted and in bed). And if you’re looking for a truly hot buffet breakfast- well it’s self prepare and serve all the way!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Thoroghly check out the heating/cooling unit in your room FIRST thing. If the unit does not appear to be working properly- have them switch you to another room.

Just right
Overall good family hotel with easy access to the parks and downtown Richmond (lovely city). The pool is just too small, waste of space.
