Not a bad hotel
St. Andrews has a number of choices both large and small. The fairmont seems to be a Conference hotel built for the midwest that was transferred to a beautiful overlook onto St. Andrews. The question is why? This hotel while comfortable, has no soul, you will remember nothing about this hotel after you leave.

Great place to stay for golf
Hotel is close to the Castle course which is still under construction. Need a car to go to other locations in town.
