Good location, terrible service
The hotel is in a good location, close to the main part of the city and right by the Musee des Beaux Arts, however the check in time is from 8 to 12pm, then 2pm to 8pm. If you have a late check in the hotel is empty and you have to call an emergency number in order to access your paperwork for check in. The man at registration is also very rude and gave us a hard time when we asked for a map.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
There is an excellent Irish pub that is around the corner and open until 2am. Good place to wind down.

Torn as to whether or not I would recommend this hotel.
1. Staff were rude and unfriendly; 2. Hotel was in the middle of nowhere, not really a desirable area. But: 3. Room was large, clean, and well-equipped. It’s an apartment, really. 4. While being far removed from anything of interest, it is very near the tram line. 5. The one thing it is near is a huge grocery store/shopping center, and I mean huge! Good to go stock up on food to load your mini-fridge with. If you aren’t going to be in Bordeaux long, I wouldn’t recommend it. Would probably be nice for an extended stay, however.
