Great place to stay
This hotel had fresher paint, fresher smell than any other hotel we stayed in at this price range in Italy. Hotel staff was helpful. The free bike rental was great for biking along the wall but difficult because of pedestrian traffic to use during the day
Park your own car if you bring one rather than letting the valet park it. Streets are narrow but you may drive your car more carefully than the valet. THere is no driving in the old section of Lucca. You must park your car in a lot on the edges of the historic area. .. Very quaint area.. ON your way to Lucca, be sure to spend a few hours in Siena - very picturesque midieval city-- one of our favorite stops

A family run oasis in a magical place
Tucked away inside the town of Lucca, the hotel is small and perfectly formed. Very personable staff who never failed to smile and assist us at every opportunity. Comfortable and clean rooms, with wireless Internet. Great continental breakfasts every morning, and pastries and drinks for free every evening while we relaxed in the beautiful lobby. Four stars doesn’t really do it justice!

The hotel owns a couple of restaurants in Lucca - ask at the front desk and you won’t be dissapointed.
