What A Dump

Doors would not lock, room dirty, bed cover smelled like vomit, stains on furniture, shower had no hot water & hair in basin, toilet did not work properly, safe did not lock. Dangerous neighborhood, warning from security guard to not walk out at night. Had to leave after first night. Absolutely meseriable experience.

Appropriate to the price.

It may sound expensive to its look, but there are not many cheaper options around. It is considered as cheaper hotel in Nassau and therefore the service was according the status "cheaper". Yet, the room was clean, Breakfast (some hot items) included and OK too, just the Air Conditioning was bit loud. The beach is cross the road which is great. The staff was helpful (comparing to my bad general experience in Bahamas).

Nassau Palm Hotel

Nassau Palm Hotel has a good location to the port , town and restaurants. The carpet in the room should be much cleaner. The housekeeper fergot to live some towels or cups almost every day. The pools were repaired, while we stayed there, so they were unusable. Complimentary breakfast was very good and dining room was nice and clean. Internet service is very expensive in the hotel. Receptionists were nice, polite and helpful all the time.

During my vacation I like to relax and spend more time in nice surronded area or on the beach near the ocean, where I can swimm. Also I want to have a good time without any stress. I like to visit museums, historic places, zoos ,botanical gardens or to go on the boat trip.

Nassau’s Worst Hotel

If you want to sleep with some company - aunts- and sleep in a smelly, dusty, rusty and unkept hotel, go to Nassau Palm Hotel. Service was poor to say the least. Requested a hair dryer the night before, and after 7 calls the next morning, I finally got it. Check- in was at 4pm and at 4:30 is when we got into our room, we found no pillow cases on our pillows. Also, we never got, although we requested it, a remote control for the TV.

Comfy & Clean

Nassau Palm Hotel was a safe, clean and inexpensive place to stay. The room was clean and had a great view of the ocean. The staff was nice and welcoming as well as helpful with information about what to do around the island. The continental breakfast was better than the continental breakfast in the states. The hotel does offer a scooter to rent but I recommend renting from a different place. The scooter was a little shaky.

You get what you pay for!

The hotel was decent, needs updating and a little more style, but it was ok clean enough. The issue that was difficult was the people around the front desk who were suppose to be there to help you with plans in the area were too pushy EVERYDAY about seeing their time share in the area. We did not want to see a time share and I hate being bugged like that. We didn’t do it, but every day we were faced to the point where I avoided the desk area to avoid having to see the woman! Otherwise the people in the area were pleasant the continental breakfast was more than most and was included. little muffins, toast, juices, oatmeal and some fruit and one day there were pancakes!

Traveler's tip

It was nice and warm. The people were pleasant. We went to Anna Nicole’s graveyard area and the lady there was not as pleasant. We were told she was "guarding" it and couldn’t let us in which we respected. Then she told us for $20 she would look the other way. I was extremely upset by this and told her that I respected the fact that the family didn’t want people around the site and that was her job to guard it!

will never go back even if given for free

When i first got there i notice that the picture on the website had to be inhanced. Time you walk in to do your reservation you was "greeted" by a timeshare rep. The room had ants and roaches which bite, soda machine was $2.00 for a can and it didn’t even work. Please let’s not talk about the carpet.......HORRIBLE........is all im saying. I had to change my room 3 times and was not at all happy in none of the rooms. My stay was so bad i came home and booked a cruise to go back so i could really enjoy myself. STAY AWAY FROM THE BATES MOTEL.

You get what you pay for. Basics!

I do not recommend this hotel for couples. Not in the least bit romantic. Maybe for college kids on a budget looking for a cheap place to basically hold their luggage as they party elsewhere. You get what you pay for. If your looking for basics (bed, shower) then it’ll serve it’s purpose. However, if good housekeeping & maintenance is important to you then look elsewhere.

I must admit that the location of the hotel was amazing everything else was below average.... not updated, no internet connection in the rooms could use improvements

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Calling the states is sooooo expensive even when you buy a phone card the room still charges you for dialing the local number to activate the card.. keep calls to minimum

Eeeewwww!

Each night we were killing bees IN THE ROOM! The shower was totally gross! Not a bad location but a Bahamian taxi driver told us the hotel standards were not good enough to remain a Holliday Inn - so they had to change the name.

not so good

This hotel looks much better on the internet. The AC was not working every night, and the coffe maker also. it was close to the beach and pubs on the right side of the roda.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Buy trips over the internet, over there are very expensive, and not so much of a good stuff.

Not as seen on picture

The hotel is located in exelent location. But the the maintenance around the hotel is not good. Rooms are smelly. Air-conditioner is roaring sound but not cooling. Lots of dust on the ceiling fan. The carpet is real junk though the front desk says they shampoo after every customer checks-out. There may be some good rooms but I was not allocated one such to leave a positive reveiw. The front desk is very small for such a big hotel. They should have remodelled to have a big and beautiful reception area.

price was right

This hotel was very Average. Think ---Best Western/Holiday Inn/Comfort Inn etc. The location leaves something to be desired. The hotel staff seemed bored- but they couldn’t be expected to be much more than this given their lives on this tourist trap island. For the money this hotel WAS DEFINATELY WORTH a two day stay in the Bahamas.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you are interested in going to Paradise Island it is a 10-12$ cab ride. After 5:30 pm there is NOTHING to do in the immediate area.

Not a bad hotel for the money

Upgraded room upon arrival. New room was much better than the standard room. For a cheap room, you get what you pay for. Freindly staff, air conditioning could have been better. Food was adequate, dining area needs air conditioning.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Hotel was located near attractions. Tough crossing street to get to beach area.

Should be called the Nassau Roach Motel

Nassau Palm Hotel was by far, the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed. Not only were there HUGE roaches in my room (four actually)the towels were stained and the staff was discourteous and unaccommodating. I would not stay within 100 feet of this roach motel if you

DIRTY and NASTY

When we first arrived, the hotel room smelled like smoke in a non smoking room. Then sheets were dirty as though they had never been changed. Then they didn’t properly mark off the room as occupied, so they had random people trying to get into our room because they were giving it to them as well. Then after talking to the manager, the sheets were never changed. Then after we get mention that the sheets were never changed, another manager gets an attitude like how dare you not want to sleep in dirty sheets.
