Irma in Cody, WY

We stayed at the Irma October 26, 27, 2009. We knew it was a piece of history and not a modern hotel. It was great. It is in a good location for any place you want to walk to in Cody.

Cody, WY is a great town. Be sure and eat breakfast at "Peter’s". They have great sweet rolls and the rest of the breakfast was good too. They also pack box lunches if you’re going into Yellowstone. I thought the $ for the room was a good value. We were there in late October and there was snow as we traveled on into Yellowstone.

Quaint historical hotel

The location was excellent but the parking lot was limited. The rooms were nice but very hot, even when it was 3 degrees outside. The desk staff could have been friendlier. Overall, a nice stay though.

Yellowstone National Park is a must-see. The snow made it more beautiful. However, if you are traveling in the fall/winter there, be sure to have alternate plans for activities since roads may be closed. Also, be sure you have a scrapper with a brush.

Pretty Neat

They have a gunfight in the street outside the hotel every evening and that was great for the kids. It is a nice old hotel to stay in and the staff was friendly too. It is located in the downtown area of Cody and there were a lot of bikers and some bars close by, but overall it was a great price for the hotel on our stop to Yellowstone.
