Southern Hospitatilty
Highly recommend this hotel to both business and leisure travelers. We stayed during a National Championship bass fishing tournament. The staff was courteous and the room was comfortable and quiet. The only drawback is the parking lot is a little tight for negotiating a 20+ foot boat trailer, but it can be made to work. The convenient location made shopping and dining during our stay simple tasks. No wasted time looking for a place to pick up forgotten items and no lack of options for dining.
Traveler's tip on dining
For a quick meal, recommend Sidelines Sports Bar, 251 Cox Creek Pky, which is a short drive or within walking distance. Great atmosphere, good food after a busy day at work or a full day of playing on the water.

Quality has gone down.
I have stayed at this same Jameson 2-3 times before & it was a good experience. However, the quality of the hotel has diminished significantly. My room was not extremely clean--looked like it had been just "gone over". There was a dog in the room next door which let me know the hotel allows pets. I was not crazy about that & wondered if a pet had stayed in my room before. The following morning I went to the fitness room & was overcome with a foul smell. After notifying the front desk, the attendant discovered someone had done #1 & #2 in the trash can. She was very nice, helpful, apologetic & promptly removed it. It’s not her fault, but it never should have happened to either of us. I discovered that the gym door had not been locked so anyone could have done the deed including an indigent wandering by. This was a terrible experience. When I recovered enough to eat breakfast, the selection was scanty with no healthy choices--whole milk? I don’t know anyone who still uses whole milk. I will very likely choose another hotel next year when I attend this conference.
