Not bad, but wont be going back
The apartment was comfortable and very spacious, and right at the beach as advertised. The little towncentre is great for casual dining and entertainment and the golf courses are fabulous. However... The (hot) water in the room was smelly (sulphur odor), some of the handles missing on furniture, building materials left behind in closets, and floors not well vacumed. The shuttle service is under capacity, so take your time.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Renting beach chairs/towels/umbrella are expensive and too far from the waterfront. So bring your own.

Labor Day Weekend- Cant wait to go back!
The Luau at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort was awesome. We stayed on the 11th floor in a one bedroom condo, and enjoyed an amazing view of the resort. The condo was clean and well-appointed. It had all of the comforts of home. The beach was beautiful and the amenities offered by the resort were great. A must see is the Baytowne Wharf, where there are several shops, bars and restaurants. The most convenient aspect of the trip was access to the tram that traveled throughout the resort. Once you arrive, there is really no need to leave Sandestin. Everything you want to do is right there.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Be sure to take advantage of the free bike rental. It is inlcuded in the resort fee.

It was ok
This hotel, based on the other properties offered through this "resort" area was just ok. We stayed two nights and on the second night when we returned to our room the front desk was closed and our key had been recoded so we had to wait for maintenance to come and let us back into our room. Very FRUSTRATING!
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Use the shuttle service and go to the Baytowne Warf area. It is worth the experience!
