charming inn for short stay

Very Pleasant Stay - Great Staff
The first room we stayed in was a small Queen with a Private Hall Bathroom. The room was very nice but the bathroom being outside the room was inconvenient and the shower was incredibly small. The next two nights we stayed in a King on the first floor. It was a major upgrade for not that much more cost. Impressive furniture, nice lighting, upgraded amenities, a bath tub with jets and a flat screen TV. All of the staff were professional and friendly. They made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying at the Inn At St John again.
Traveler's tip
There seem to be a lot of coffee shops and roasters in the area. I work for a roaster in Vermont so I taste tested a lot of coffee. Most of it was disappointing. Portland Coffee Roasters was the only place I got a quality cup of coffee. Coffee by Design was okay but not great.

Great Stay
I was in Portland for business, but I attended college there, so I am no stranger. The staff were great and very welcoming and helpful. I am planning another trip to Portland and I am considering the same hotel!
