Days Inn Benson Az

Mediocre but comfortable

My wife and I spent two nights in Benson so we could visit Kartchner Caverns and Tombstone. We chose the Days Inn because of its reasonable rates and the availability of smoking rooms. We arrived a couple of hours before the official check in time and were told that no rooms were ready. I shouldn’t blame the hotel for holding to their stated policy, but it’s a fact that I’ve never been turned away in this manner before. The room itself was decent. It was relatively clean and everything worked. It smelled of stale tobacco smoke, but in fairness - we asked for it. We’ll be returning to the area in a couple of months, but I’m pretty sure we’ll be staying somewhere else.

Kartchner Caverns State Park is a fascinating and exceptionally well run facility. Well worth visiting...

Great value

For as low as the price was, I was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast provided was the standard fare - ok if you want something quick. The hotel was fairly new, clean, well maintained. Basically everything I was really interested in. The bed was adequate, but not as comfortable as some I have stayed in (and paid a lot more for).

Safe Place to Stay

Hotel was clean and quite. The beds were comfortable. There were several good places to eat close by that were easy to find. We would stay there again.
