Below Average for a 5-star hotel in HK

Considering it is a 5 star hotel, the service is only average while cleanliness is falls abit below average. Reasons for the rating are: 1. Our room was not made up at 2pm and we had to call housekeeping to come and clean our room. It was just inconvenient and not up to 5 star level. 2. Housekeeping did not tidy up our room (i.e. clean used utensils and cups) when turning down our bed while other hotels that we had stay in the past do tidy up well. I would pay a bit more and stay elsewhere if I need to stay around Central/Admiralty area again.

Good but still this in improvements of the construction

Very good Hotel but the new facilities still smelled of fresh painting in the corridors and in the room, that was very annoying because this cause headache to my wife. There was also portion of water from 11 AM until 5 PM due to the maintenance works that were carried out. Apart from these issues the service was very good and nice facilities.

poor hotel reception, good location,

the reception give me a key of a room was already occupied by another person which was sleeping . when I reserve the room online, hotel did not mention there is a remodeling in progress , when I arrived, the reception told me. I also called the hotel few times no one told me there is a a noise from 9 am till 5 pm !! I made a call cost me over $60 for 10 minute international call

Hong Kong is one of the place you can find latest designer clothing and pay less than full price

Service was superb

Service was quite good, room was very comfortable but everything was expensive

hongkong’s best and finest

from check in to check out the staff are very helpful and courteous the rooms are clean and the view is very nice i have the mountain view room

You can do better

OK, so I was excited to stay @ a "JW", but truth be told this hotel is nothing special. They have all the normal 4 star stuff & access to a nice mall, but overall this hotel fails to impress. The Cons: The room - Tiny, no more than 300 sq ft including the bath. Also my unit was in the shape of a pentagon, making TV viewing difficult. Service - Average, concierge was helpful but not overly. Decor - Somewhere between average & cheesy; lobby is particularly sub par. The decortheme attempts traditonal hongkongese but they fail in their attempt wholeheartedly. Lobby & lobby bar is very run of the mill.
