beware of free minibar

The hotel was fairly opulent, the security was a bit disconcerting, but apparently necessary because of its proximity to the embassy. The rooms were large and comfortable, we only stayed overnight so we did not make use of the included breakfast, but it really ticket me off when i booked a room with a "free minibar" only to find a few bottles of warm water and a couple packs of cookies on top of the real minibar that i was expecting. overall we probably overpaid

their is every form of nightlife you can think of all within blocks or a few miles

Excellent Hotel in Manila

The staff of the hotel was very friendly. The room was good and clean and their dinner buffet was very good but also very expensive! The rooms do not have free internet which I believe it’s a must nowadays. The hotel had lots of things going on inside - several restaurants, live show, buffet restaurant, coffee shops, bars, etc. The security was tight as in all places in Manila.

Traveler's tip

-Change some $ into Philippines Pesos (before leaving the airport. -Take a metered public taxi from Manila airport to the hotel (& viceversa), cost @200 pesos. -Beware of taxi drivers that want to charge a fixed rate instead of running the meter. -In old Manila beware of mule carriages. Don’t let it stop & wait for u. -"Casa Manila" was not worth my time.
