you get what you pay for...
London is one of the most expensive cities in the world; so I guess I should have known what I was getting into when I found a room with three beds, breakfast inclusive, for cheap. But still... Pros: Clean**, Included breakfast wasnt completely terrible, Good location. Cons: Incredibly cramped, Deteriorating building, Poor service*. * Example 1 There was no do not disturb notice for the door. I assumed ours was simply missing, and asked the front desk for one. She literally wrote "Do not disturb" on a sheet of paper, put some tape on there, and handed it to me! Makes for a funny story at least Example 2 When we tried to drop off some stuff in the hotel safe at 9:30, the clerk said he didnt have the key and we had to do that before 9. Previously no one had told us this. Seemed like a family run place, the guy with the key was probably his brother who was upstairs watching TV ** I mean really clean. You could tell they were trying to do the best they could with their decrepit old building
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
dont bother trying in London. Or if you do, be prepared for shoddy accomodations.
