Best Western Downtown Vancouver

Definately 3 stars, but cheap and right where i wanted to be for the weekend

Really had a great experience walking up and down the strip from the hotel. Tons of clubs, shopping, and places to eat. went for a musical w/ the g/f and had a great time. Parking was $10/day, I heard there was a hot tub and a suna which seems all pluses for a 3 star. I was really looking for a place to just sleep but ended up sick Saturday and layed in bed and watch an amazing sunset out of the west wall. Not to mention, its right accrossed the street from Cecil! ha ha, good times and a nice little spot to crash at if you’re in town to go clubbing.

Good hotel for weekend getaway

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver. Very accessible to all amenities and public transportation.

Great Place

The hotel is convenient while a little out of the center of downtown. The staff was very helpful and they were cordial. We would stay there if we went back to Vancouver which we do plan to do.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is a great attraction and we enjoyed it very much. The staff was very helpful in getting us out to see it without a car.

Located in the heart of nightlife and daytime sightseeing. This is a must-stay place. Parking the hotel was safe and secure.

Good Value

By far, this hotel has the most reasonable parking rates of any hotel we looked at in the downtown area. The attached restaurant is not run by the hotel, and is mediocre at best.

Great location, affordable price, and super clean.

We arrived at this hotel a bit apprehensive after reading reviews about the somewhat ’sleaziness’ of the neighborhood. However, coming from NY with more vivid examples of sleaze, the immediate area of the hotel was in very decent shape. We stayed there with our two kids and never felt threatened to walk around the area. It was close to eateries, shopping, and sightseeing spots. The hotel also had a cozy gym with a fantastic view. I would definitely go back to this hotel if ever in Vancouver again.

Good for overnight

We stayed post cruise to go to Granville Island. We got there early morning and they stored our luggage. Their free shuttle took us to the Aquabus (water taxi) and we enjoyed our day on the island. Be advised that the shuttle drops off but does not pick up. The shuttle took us to the Amtrak station the next morning. The price was reasonable for downtown Vancouver.

Vancouver Downtown Hotel

The Hotel itself was excellent, with a good restaurant connected next door. But the location was fairly remote from the shopping, sites, and restaurants in Vancouver. It was fairly easy trip to airport, however, within 20 minutes, if not during rush hour.

Good quality, reasonable price

Hotel is well maintained and has spacious comfortable rooms for the price. Service staff is well trained and friendly. However, it is located within a somewhat dicey part of Vancouver.

All of the Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about their city.

Great staff

I actually stayed here for two nights, one on each end of a vacation. On both stays, everything was top notch, from the staff to the cleanliness of the room. The rooms are a bit small, but very comfortable and clean. On the first nights stay, the air freshener in the room was a bit strong, but that is really the only complaint I have. I would/will stay here again.

Nice and confortable Hotel

Best Western Downtown Vancouver is a nice Hotel, located a few blocks from shop and entertainment area. All rooms have a nice view of Downtown or Granville Island.

Nice service, small but confortable rooms

I drove to Vancouver with my family for an overnight visit. The service was good, but don’t expect concierge-like attention: the staff really knows their hotel, but not much of the surrounding services and attractions. Good price, though the additional taxes and fees added up to 20% of the advertised price here in Expedia

Good value

I have nothing bad to say about the hotel except for the very uncomfortable beds. I’m not sure what it was; too firm perhaps? Bad pillows? I had a night full of tossing and turning. Otherwise, the staff, accommodations, location, price, etc... were all great.

Great Price, but parking sucks...

Great bang for you buck, but the garage is small and completely packed when we stayed there. We were informed to make our own parking spaces by parking against the walls in the downramp. I did not feel safe doing this at all. As for the hotel itself I don’t think you can get a better value for downtown Vancouver. The staff service there was also great.

Great location - great price.

I booked this hotel for a weekend stay and found it to be a very nice hotel in an great location for a very reasonable price. The hotel is near the water taxi to Granville Island and not far from many key downtown locations. Parking onsite was inexpensive and linked to our room key so it was easy to come and go. The room was very clean, amenities were great (towels, shampoo, soap, coffee for coffee maker), and I really liked the duvet-style comforter (no rough polyester with ugly patterns). My only complaint was that the elevator was a little slow and sometimes took a while to arrive. I would definitely stay there again.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

There is street parking down the slight hill from the hotel as you head towards the hotel parking. We were there on a Sunday night so we could park there free versus the $10 hotel charge.

Great value for the money

Centrally located hotel in the downtown area, within walking distance of numerous restaurants and taxi distance of GM Place. Hotel provides shuttle service TO most of the downtown venues (including GM), but you’re on your own for the return trip. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, comparable to hotels I’ve stayed at that cost 5 times the money. I have another trip planned to Vancouver later this year and definitely plan on booking here again.

If you’re into pubs, "The Winking Judge" is a short walk away. It has a good menu, large beer selection (it’s Canada after all) and good prices.

Mixed feedback

The wireless was off for several days, which is quite inconvenient. They have a free shuttle going to anywhere in downtown. It’s also within the walking distance to downtown.

Very clean and comfortable for a reasonable price.

This hotel is really a great deal. It is clean, the decor is updated, and it has nice views of the city. I was really able to relax there. The only negative I can think of is that the rooms are pretty small, but you can’t expect much more from a downtown hotel. The size didn’t bother us because everything else made up for it.

Nice place, good location

Although I did get prositioned (only $20??) on my way over to Starbucks at 7 in the morning, I never felt uneasy walking around in the vivinity. This is a fine hotel close to a terrific area for restaurants of every type and interesting stores. Convenient, secure parking, well worth the money.
