It was much better than expected
Being a frequent Rome visitor I wasnt expecting too much of comfort knowing a general level of even 4 star hotel in Rome as low in terms of European standards. Rooms are usually smaller, noisier, etc. However, for a long-weekend stay I decided to compromise on quality choosing a hotel based on location. I was surprised how this hotel was in fact even better comparing to 4 star hotel in Rome although it was ranked as 3 star. I cant tell about doubles or for family stay but for the single long-weekend stay I would recommend this hotel. But please do not have illusions of meeting there a home-type coziness. San Silvestro wasnt that at all. Itll definitely provide a clean room, but still will be very noisy. The most valuable part is its location - it is in a walk-distance to major Rome sightseeing spots.
