Amazing quality for the dollar
At a price just 1/3rd of the Conrad Hilton in Bangkok, and in a city where the USG per diem rate is very similar, the Amari Rincomes "Deluxe" rooms and breakfasts were every bit as nice. Amazingly good for the price. Beautifully decorated rooms, with balconies directly overlooking the pool and a gorgeous garden.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
This hotel is located about a 5-10 minute ride away from the clubs and restaurants to the south, but is no further from the countryside or airport. Pretty decent location, although getting into the main tourist district in town involves, again, a cab trip or about 30 minutes on foot. Tour guide on site is a little expensive, but not bad. Some sort of American rental care company is located next to the lobby - Was tempting, but not really necessary.

Relaxing location outside of main city center
We really enjoyed our stay at the Amari Rincome in Chiang Mai. The breakfast buffet food and service was excellent - the best we had in Thailand. The staff was all smiles and ALWAYS there to take the time answer any questions in decent English. Pool areas were beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Perfect hotel for businesspeople and adults...not a backpackers destination. The only suggestion I have is to add a fitness center and the whole package would be amazing!
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Easy access to and from the city center and the outside local mountains. Great restaurants and bars close by. The travel agent, in the hotel, found us great deals and was also willing to negotiate prices. Travel out of the city to see what the area is like. Beautiful, friendly people.
