Small hotels have trouble in this economy
This place was really run down. The owner was very helpful and helped us with a problem we had with the lights.

Third Stay There
We’ve stayed at this hotel three different times in the last two years and would not hesitate to go back. The staff was very accomodating, the location can’t be beat (right on PCH facing the ocean), and the rooms were clean. This is a no frills place but perfect for going to the beach every day.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Go to Sunset Rentals (1/2 mile away) on PCH and rent a 1, 2, or 3 person kayak to paddle around Huntington Harbor for a nice relaxing couple of hours.

Get your money’s worth
For the price we paid it was a nice room. Within walking distance of the beach. We had a problem with our check-out time. I had called the night before to request a late check-out and was told that it wouldn’t be a problem for us leave at 12:30 instead of 11:00. The morning we were suppose to leave we had the maid come before 12:00 and she sent the manager up at 12:15 to get us out. If the late check-out was going to be a problem, they should have told us no instead of pester us to get out.
